Hi, thought this turned into an interesting hand and afterwards wondered if playing it a different way would be better overall.
£1-£2 omaha live game.
i have £185 and the sb.
4,5,10,queen rainbow hand. not great but with 5 limpers for a quid i call
 bb calls
pot £14
flop 9,k,6  rainbow (lots of rainbows i know )
flop is checked,
turn 3
so i have 2 open ended straight draws, but one is non nut
gets checked to the button who bets £8 pot is £22
i call £8 and get 2 more callers behind
pot £54
river 9
gets checked to the button who bets £25 and all fold.
Now question is- is checking correct for me, flop and turn, or should i lead turn?
big draws but no hand at all.
As you prob guess i dont play omaha loads but enjoy it and like to play when can.
thanks

Cant fault the way you played this hand at all tbh.

The flop is certainly a check and the river is definitely not a bluff so if you wanna think of some way different to play the hand then it's the turn...

You have 4 straight outs (16 cards) so you defo have a hand you could put some pressure on with, before we really decide what's best though I'd need to know the stack sizes of the people involved and if the turn brought a flush draw?

Assuming you're the effective stack, and the turn does bring a flush draw, check calling really does seem best.

You could lead, would go pot always but you have such little fold equity in these games I'm not as keen or you could VERY credibly check raise but getting re raised would be a disaster and in these 5 way pots you always find someone traping with something.

Yup. I think you played it very well

It's a very standard line imo, wp.

A more unconventional line can be making the turn a c/£46, I'd only use this line if I had very decent reads. We're very likely to be going to fold out two sets of equities, and we are going to continue in a hand where we have the betting lead and are going to be able to play for stacks, at reasonably worst we have 38% vs JJxx. Really the amount of combos that continue vs our obvious 1:1spr river are very few. As I say though only with reads, if you just know he has JJxx only and is basically not folding the river then calling is best imo.

From experience people betting 1/3pot on the turn rarely have an extremely strong hand. An attempt at keeping the pot size small perhaps with a medium strength hand that wants to be able to call a pot bet and see a river instead of leading pot and having to make a decision there and then.

I'd just pot the turn I think. Turn leads vs flop passiveness get a lot of folds and we have plenty outs if not and we get raised close to 0% of the time.
