Having met Joe Hachem and finding him to be a very decent guy, it's good to see him validating his skills by winning a wpt title today. He nearly won another wsop bracelet as well this year. Top Player.

respect.

Interestingly........in a truly name dropping sort of way.........I played on a table with him at the WPT in the Bahamas. Seemed pleasant enough but nothing went his way so left the table fairly moody. It was nice to see what he was like when not winning.

Having seen some of the action from this years WSOP it appears as though he can be rather moody when he is winning as well. He openly admits to having a bit of a temper and being a firey character, hopefully he'll learn to keep it under control and not turn into another Tony G.

Away from the table he appears a nice enough person - met him at a pokerstars promotion in London before this years WSOP and he seemed ok - not quite in the same league as Raymer when it comes to talking to the public but i think thats more to do with Raymer's "over-friendly" nature.

He puts it down to his Lebenese origins rather than being an Aussie.

I suppose the lesson to be learned here is that i need to construct my posts in such away as to not overelaborate on the points i'm trying to make, rather than continuing to waffle on offering unrequired content i should be swifter in concluding the response i'm trying to portray.

Sat next to Joe for all of day 2 (yeh I made a day 2!!!) at last years Aussie millions and had some great fun on the table with him. Even when he was low stacked he wasn't moody. Drank with him and his brother at the bar as well and  can definately say he is a top bloke. He didn't seem to do anything special on the table but he didn't make any mistakes (the main difference between them and us). What he has acheived since both at the WSOP and now the WPT is amazing and I have to say he is probably the most consistant player in the world over the last 12 months.
Bumped into him at this years wsop ro-sham-bo comp and he immediately asked me if I was going to oz again this year and invited me to a party in vegas. Genuinely nice bloke and obviously a great player.

I've met him a couple of times and he seems like a pretty nice chap.

Check this out for all the info on his WPT victory:
