In the latest issue of Card Player Europe, Feb 2007, Lucy Rokach talks about "Pokerspeak" and refers to a "Karabiner" as a Rock. 

Is this our Karabiner?

An old Notts./Derby regular, Andrew"Mr.Curiosity" always used to call me Karabiner, which has been "pokerspeak" for rock amongst the Greeks/Cypriots for donkey's years.

Lucy is a close friend of mine but she had nothing to do with my moniker, but my one claim to fame is that I did give Lucy her nickname "Golden Ovaries" which she used to write her articles under I believe.

Ah, i see, just reading the article, the phrase : -

"Need a pneumatic drill to get chips out of him" was mentioned.
