personally I've never been interested in reading blogs. However I'd never suggest people shouldn't do it.
people should express themselves in whatever medium they choose and as loudly or quietly as the feel they need to.

enjoy writing your blog Fran, whether anyone reads it or not (though I'm sure they will)

I just don't get the point of these blog things, I have read a few blogs on there and wonder are people really that interested in what someone has had for breakfast, or the latest ins and outs of your last break up, how long its taken to get from one part of the country to the other and how much your coffee costs at the service station?

In my day we wrote in a diary, these were often kept somewhere safe and private for no one else to see, all our emotional stuff, all the people who had pissed us off was not branded across the web for all and sundry to read.

I say to these blog writers get a life, get out there and have a bit of fun, don't fret that you haven't done your latest update, and if you do continue with these make sure that what you are writing doesn't end up in a court of law!!

so, just to clarify, you dont see the point of putting pointless information out into the open domain for people that you dont know to read? hmmm, lets see:

Making notes about your day-to-day life is a thoroughly unique and personal thing. It is a statement of existence. This is me and this is what I do.....just like me writing "MANTIS WAS HERE" somewhere in the world.

Whether this is particularly interesting or entertaining to someone else is hardly important. Your life is special to you and keeping everyone in the dark about every aspect of your personal life is being a bit introverted.

Imagine Martin Luther King announcing..."I HAD A DREAM.......but it's a bit personal so I don't want to talk about it!"

First off, myspace is old news, Facebook is the place to be.

Rainbow you make me laugh, i can't believe you all fell for her wind-up, like she would really criticise people for posting inane drivel about their lives on their own site when she does the same on a poker forum read by thousands.

Well done Rainbow you got 'em good!

To make a blog entertaining then I think people have to get away from the idea of the blog just being an online diary. Instead it should be regarded more like online letter writing - if something is too dull to put in a letter, then it shouldn't be put in a blog.

But if you just want to get things off your chest then it doesn't matter what you write in your blog.

It is always good thing to invest in oneself....one actually might benefit from it..... although of course some are beyond any hope of repair.....
