I posted a while back about going 28 consecutive MTTs without cashing.

I've found the solution. Play in one on your birthday!

I finished 5th in a 40 runner freezeout last night and while the prize money will get me half a round at my local if I'm lucky (lol), at least the sequence is broken.

Hoo-rah!

Actually, I think it was re-reading 'Harrington on Hold'em' that really helped. Because I was in a funk regarding my MTT run, it was good to reconfirm that I was doing most things right and just needed to stay patient.

Try it if you are going through a barren spell..

Actually, what it also showed is how much luck must be involved in this fine game. On the final table the chip leader was having his first ever game of poker and the third in chips was so drunk he was struggling to speak coherently. Lol.

That, and the fact that I actually put a bad beat on someone and wasn't on the receiving end for once..

i agree, luck needed sometimes,,i think its when you give yourself the chance to get lucky thats the tricky part

i posted on your last thread bout me being in the same boat..i went to a different casino on monday and won a comp..only 22 runners but a win is a win.my confidence is back up a bit now.i cant play for the rest of the week but hopefully i will be feeling good for the 300 at dtd next week.
