I disagree, I think it's a shame he can't get his 100th cap.

It's only a friendly, there are enough slots that Fabio can watch enough other people, he only has to bring Beckham on for a few mins and it's job done, it won't cost the side anything in terms of progress.  Beckham has done enough for English football in the past, I think he should be given the 100th cap, then finish his International career.

i have a mate who has attended every england match home and away for the last twenty years.hes given plenty to english football

he would love his first cap and anyway its only a friendly and no harm can be done! Wink Grin

my mates not good enough and neither now is mr beckham by including him on sentiment is wrong and im sure he himself wouldnt want to be included for that reason.

Your mate should be given a seat in the crowd, his usual position, doing what he does best.  If he didn't manage to get a ticket, I'll lobby for him to get one Wink

Agree with the Bentley comment, the guys class

I don't understand the point of a "prelimary squad"
It just tells players like Ashton, Johnson, P Neville, Robinson etc that they are miles away from the team.

Glenn Johnson - no thank you

Personally I think there is a place for sentiment in football as a way of a thank you for an individuals service to the game. It happens at club football so why not at international level. It's not like England have a competitve game for sometime.

I also think it's a mistake as it was a perfect opportunity to get this out of the way rather than it being an issue at every future England game. Beckham should of been given his cap, as captain, in a meaningless final game and then it would have been time to move on.

This England squad is of the moment, and the simple truth is you cannot prove that Beckham is fit enough or has enough form to warrant a place, he is not playing at this time, end of IMO.

For the future, the thought of Bentley and Young actually attacking people gets me more interested in a England squad then I have been for some time - and with Agbonlahor bubbling away in the background a promising time for England.

Surprised no Ashton and the inclusion of Davies but a good squad - just wish we had something to play for this summer.

Shit post Nakor, such a clown.

What do you get when you cross a joke with a rhetorical question?
