Should I always bet the turn here?

Just wondered what I should have done differently here? Should I always be betting the turn or is it okay to check here sometimes to induce a bluff?

Yeah afraid I don't like this check one bit. If you were first to act, it's different; looking to induce a bluff on a further street seems a little pointless here cos the pot isn't that big to steal, and you're giving a free card to get outdrawn which certainly is possible. Just build the pot here with a lock on the hand.

You want the or to pay you off looking for the draw. You could also get 2 streets of value if he has something reasonably strong by betting...

Here' s my thoughts for what they're worth.

Pre flop - good raise .

Flop _ You have a good hand here and can assume your ahead. I would bet more here to build the pot - may be 250.

Turn - You can definitely assume you're ahead but very vulnerable to fourth club. Must bet here about 500 imo. Much better for him to fold than for you to loose pot on river. If you were 1st to play here and believed he would bet, then a check raise may be worth considering. But you cant let him have a free card.

River

 I think I would have raised the riverassuming I'm still ahead. You have bet small on the flop and checked the turn, showing no strength. He might assume you have little and could be bluffed off the pot. Its unlikely that the J helped him. So I would be min raising to 1170 for value (anything more he is less likely to call without much of a hand). If he then reraises you would have to consider the size of the reaise, think through the hand and his history and decide whether to call.

Pre - if your plan is to isolate the limper and play HU pot IP with 3.5x is fine. A hand the flops well is always nice when the stacks are deep

Post-flop - Please build the pot. 115 is far too small. I expect you were trying to induce a bluff or something but this early just bet for value. My standard Cbet is half pot so that should be fine here.

Turn - His range consists of made hands and made flushes. Most made hands are calling two if not three streets anyways so Vbet it. Maybe 2/3 pot. Only A/K high flushes are likely to c/r so if they do, you can have a plan for the hand when the blinds r still small and a loss wont effect you much. Checking back lets hands like sets(13outs)/two pairs(4outs) (not being results orientated) get there.

River - fine imo
