He won every round imo, he has a bright future as he has a very awkward style, Groves is his mandatory now so hopefully that gets made in the spring. On the subject of the scoring, i gave Khan the 1st 6 rounds plus the last, Maidana won 7,8,9,10(10-8) and 11 making it 115-112(although i wouldnt see anything wrong with scoring the 3rd round as 10-10) Khan dominated early although he never dominated enough to get a 10-8 round bar the knockdown in the 1st. He will probably fight Zab Judah in the spring as a homecoming defence before fighting the winner of the unification bout between Bradley and Alexander hopefully this comes to fruition and he can unify the division before stepping up to 147.

just watching now, just me or do the commentators hopelessly get it wrong. Khan definitely ahead at the 5th but not quite dominating like they think?

scorecards seemed pretty fair. wish he would follow his shots throgh so they're knockout blows rather than goodshots.

I think it was alot closer than the commentators and most of the british public think.  It was a good performance by Khan but everyone saying it was a great performance which i dont understand and agree with.

you're right. he got in with a banger that no one else wanted to fight and won which was right from a boxing scoring pov. did he dominate like a mayweather or pacquio, not even close but he won and can improve imo.

Dominating on the scorecards.  He quite convincingly won the first 6 rounds imo, and that also included the 10-8 round.

That's why the scoring is so wrong.  It doesn't matter if Khan get 7 bells of shit punched out of him for the remaining 6 rounds, without 10-8 rounds in Maidana's favour, or a knockout, he wouldn't have been able to win.  Then there was the point deduction as well, which should have made the scorecards even wider.

I just don't see where Maidana won more than 6 of the 12 rounds (and that's giving him a 10-8 for the round he hurt Khan, but didn't get the knockdown).

In the 12 there were two 10-10s imo.

There were maybe 3 or 4 rounds where Khan looked in danger, and in those rounds he looked really bad, but apart from that I think he was clearly ahead and controlling the other 8 - I think there was just about a clear winner in almost every round and Khan didn't need the two 10-8 rounds to be a convincing winner. Just because he wasn't taking the guys head off in some of those rounds didn't mean he wasn't controlling the ring, getting better punches off more often and more accurately and generally looking like the significantly better boxer.

Khan will always look good fighting at range, this was the 1st real test under roach and while his offence has improved significantly, his defence was shockingly bad, the boy just does'nt know how to fight on the inside whatsoever.
