pretty redic i have applied for the opening ceramony one as this should be incred price difference are redic tho

I wouldn't go to the opening or closing ceremonies if they were free and on in Darlington!

y not

Why would you want to see a load of athletes walking round the track NOT competing?

Boris Johnson, Seb Coe, The Queen, Mick Hucknall singing the National Anthem.

Hell, I'd pay good money NOT to attend.
Why would anyone rather see a load of singing, dancing and stuff rather than Usain Bolt winning the 100m?

Ship $500 to mondonewc on Stars and I will guarentee you that you wont have to attend.

PS Totally agree with you, cant think of many things less appealing to go to.

You honestly think London openening ceremony will be even 10% as good as Beijing?

Save your money to see Usain Bolt imo.

I'm glad I'm a big Bekele fan in the 10,000m (and 5,000m).  Far better value for money than Bolt in the 100m!

Assuming he's fit:  http://www.athleticsweekly.com/news/bekele-back-in-training-hopeful-for-london-2012/

I went a bit nuts and ordered a shedload of tickets, if they all come in I am selling a kidney.

Not sure but I think I went for
Lots of atheletics obv
A bunch of bronze medal boxing
mens finals weightlifting
gymnastics - the one on horses and rings (my missus fancied that)
basketball final (dont like b ball but figured it would be fun to watch the yanks assuming they made the final)

Of all of em, I actually would love to get the weightlifting most, I love any sport where you are watching someone try and beat their personal best, medal or not. I bet its actually boring in real life.

A couple of pictures of the Olympic Stadium

I hadn't seen these pictures before, so apologies if they're old news and I've just been blind.
