Hi mate
Yeah villian here was a gobby twat lolol. Why do I always get done by them lol?
rejam pre, his range will be huge
C/R all in on flop. If he has it so be it and you have redraws.
Don't think you are deep enough to play it cute

300/600 with a 25 ante? is this right, seems terrible if so.
**sorry to derail**
yes, get it in preflop most of the time he is going to fold and we add 25% to our stack, sometimes he calls and you'd be unlucky for him to have found an overpair
but more importantly to consider, we're call for 15%+ of our stack preflop, with what plan, just to try flop a set? We leave ourselves in great danger of a) making a bad fold on the flop, b) making a bad all in on the flop, or c) missing value from hands that we can get all-in vs pre flop
It might seeml like getting all your chips in with a pair of 9's is a bit spewy, but any other option is hugely detremental to your stack size and hey it's 20bb tournament poker there is ALWAYS gonna be a bit of variance

hi rich, yeah he did have lots to say and even more once you had gone, its when he trys to make out its his great play that does me.
hi suuprlim, thanks for your veiws, i didnt put him on an over pair i thought a big ace but because of the way the table was panning out i didnt jam it all in because i felt for sure he would call and knew i would be racing, i felt if the flop came all low cards i could take it down cheaply, obviously i posted it to get yours and others veiws because at first i thought i played it correctly then after thinking maybe not, but thanks i like getting the help

I agree you should reraise preflop. Calling is pretty bad because you don't have odds to set mine and you aren't going to be an overpair very often and even when you are it seems like his range is wide enough that you could still be drawing thin. As played you are left with an awkward stack on this (and a lor of other) flops because when you shove your bet is big enough to make all the worse hands (except two pairs) fold but if you bet the pot there are a lot of hands that are going to call that you don't want to give another card to. I guess now it just depends on how you want to play it. I probably take the lower variance route of just shoving and hope he calls off with Ace of spades or something.
Question for the others - instead of shoving preflop is there an argument for raising to, say 3700, pre and obv calling if he shoves but if he calls being willing to get it in on any reasonable (ie. one overcard or better) flop???

Jam pre Bet 1/3rd into pot to get him to shove a ton of hands here [1spade hands here overpairs etc] Wouldn't be to afraid of making the smaller bet as i think calling is out of the equation
