On the rare occasion that I play online I never get angry or aggressive and it makes me laugh when others do. Without naming names a poker pro who is a blonde member got extremely abusive to me a few years ago when I felted him in a GUKPT sat close to the bubble. I just gave my standard lol response which seems to irritate him even more. lol

As to wishing other people dead or catch horrible incurable ailments is total beyond me and anybody caught doing so should receive a lifetime ban from the poker site.

Never really understood why they have a chat box.

So you can chat with the pro's!

I thought thats what 0898 numbers were for.

Idiots the lot of them, I just try and wind them up even more for a laugh. You would think at some point people get to the stage where they have learned there is simply no point complaining about poker as it doesn't change anything, but clearly I'm wrong.  idiot

And dissing bad play, which we see folkls do every day, even on a fairly sphisticated (as to poker ability) forum such as blonde.

The play was so bad it was unreal

Usually followed by "it was so bad they busted me".

Why would you diss other players when we think they are bad, & we are here to relieve them of their money? Surely we WANT to play inferior players?

Cake & eat it?

I might not get a single reply, & everyone on earth might disagree with me, but I've been meaning to ask this for ages, so I'm happy I have.

Life is full of mysteries, far beyond my understanding.

This I will never understand, the game has got hard enough as it is without encouraging people to play better by saying that sort of stuff.

At a guess i would say its people who are tight with money and are either playing beyond their means or just people who are bad losers.

I have seen it live & online in various comps, its pretty sad really but everyone has their reasons(not proper reasons obv but to them)

ignore it if aimed at me but if someone else usually i have to say something whether its a bad beat or anything really its only a game and people should learn to enjoy it!

Dan got it imo, ppl take poker very personally, amd needlessly so - not just in losing either, you hear ppl say 'I made this guy do X' 'I got this idiot to go allin with Y' so the hit to the ego combined with burning uncontrolable frustration makes ppl lash out and like always the nastier they can be the more satisfied they will be, and like tommy says you can say w/e you want sat behind a screen.

There is a reg i play HU on ipoker who often goes off at me frequently apologises and i always just say wtf are you doing? I just cant help myself is the answer, and this isva gd winning pro player, so can kinda get why less experienced players might go off.

All pretty embarrassing though, its jus a game lol

I don't believe the 'I hope you die of cancer' type of chat is explainable as a nano second insta reaction - it takes a reasonable amount of time time to type it and hit return.

But as someone who's always only been a small stakes player I'd say the comments are worse now than they were a few years ago (before it would have been 'God you're so shit' etc)

And I've always just assumed that it's how moronic players think hardass poker pros live their daily lives - so they start by copying Hellmuth and then take it further and further over time.

I reckon they think it shows the rest of us that they are top top players. Which obviously rings true in a $2 rebuy...........
