Hey guys, having some issues with all this junk.

So I've tried both cables into both tvs into both the laptop/android box. On the Toshiba the laptop appears to send over a signal, the screen changes from blue to black, but nothing is actually displayed. On my display setting it sometimes picks up a second monitor, which just reads "Display device on: VGA". This happens when the cables are plugged in on both tvs, however only the Toshiba tv appeared to change output, whereas the panasonic tv did nothing at all. I've tried every port on everything and still no success. I tried resetting the tv, switching it off at the mains unplugging everything and then retrying and couldn't get any further. Anyone got any suggestions, seems unlikely 2 of one object has failed in some way, so maybe I am missing something obvious. Cheers.

Have you tried switching it off and on again?

You should be able to switch through the outputs on the TV and select the HDMI option.

Yes I selected the hdmi port 1/2/3 on the Toshiba and 1/2 on the Panasonic depending on which port I had plugged the hdmi cable into.

Yes i switched every device on and off.

Have you done anything with your laptop settings? I would google your model and check what you need to do to display HDMI.

With laptops you sometimes need to press F4 (it's F4 on my laptop but may differ on others) to activate an additional screen. Not sure about the Android device.

Yeah I tried all this, I displayed my laptop on both tvs before and regularly use a 2nd monitor. Gonna have another fiddle at some point and see what happens.
