I've hit a pretty much dream flop, checked it and there's been a raise and a reraise back to me. Falcon must be strong here (i'm thinking Q10, although KJ, AJ, Ax hearts are all distinctly possible), but what do i do? If i raise and hes got the Q10, i'm drawing thin.

I'm all in here. If he has Q-10 or a set you still have outs (provided his set isnt AAA). If he's on the nut flush draw your asking him to commit the rest of his chips on a draw as hitting his kicker is no good (of course he may have the str8 draw as well). If he has AQ or AJ your in good shape and may well get his chips.

At the end of the day playing a low level stt no-one will even consider folding AK as an option having hit 2 pairs and by just calling you are allowing your opponent to see a cheap card if he is on a draw.

cheers for your opinion matt. yeah thats what i did, after a bit of a dwell. Its just that i was almost certain he had the str8; most hands he'd want to protect i think he'd bet out rather than check-raise. and if i'm right with my read then thats just giving my chips away surely. But i'm not a good enough player to throw away top two so i went with it.

Calling a preflop raise out of position with Q-10 o/s is not solid!!!

You'd be suprised(or not) with what players you percive to be "solid" deem as a playable hand, without taking into consideration position.

playing at these low levels is really difficult. if you can apply a consistant formula that dictates an all in move here then ultimatly playing the better hands without doing too much else is a winning formula at the lower levels.

but to analyze the hand as a one off its difficult not to put one of them on q 10 as its my expeiriance that any 2 cards over 10 are played from any position by the "playing for fun " mob at lower levels.
