Me, Chubbs and Nick just got back to my house. It was a bit difficult one time when all 3 of us were on the same table when we got down to the last 3 tables. When me and Chubbs made the final table we decided that neither of us would agree to do any deals no matter how many players were left in (as it would be a bit hypocritical especially after some of the anti- deal posts I have put on BP).

As you can see from some of the hands on BP, we clashed quite a few times but it was the best possible result we could have hoped for, a 1 and 2, and 61k (less £400 for the waiters and waitresses). As you would expect, there were a few comments about "same village" from a very small minority but anyone reading the updates must be mad to think this was the case (eg. my all-in with 66 UTG when we were still 5 handed?).

The comp was run great except it was a bit of a crapshoot when down 12 players, but the final table structure was fine. Ali Mallu was relentless but could not win the key hand V Chubbs QQ v AK. I felt a bit sorry for Red-Dog, he had Chuubs, Ali and Me all directly to his right and was getting his blinds stolen every round, eventually finding AKs and losing to Alli's 24d on  224 flop.

I was actually pretty card dead throughout the competition but managed to steal my way through so a nice ending to a tiring weekend.

Cheers Rob

Yep, great updates, just caught up.

Way to go Chubbs and Rob, stunningly good to see you both HU, it was just a matter of time. I hope some publication picks up the story.

Red, that exit was so unlucky, it hurt just to read it.

Chubbs I think you are nearly ready  Cheesy

Great updates as per usual guys.

Excellent result Rob(proving that money does go to money Wink) and very good show from Chubbs.

Tom, keep knocking at the door and it is sure to open soon. Nice little touch anyhow.

Good Luck to all the blondes, there are load of them still in, though let's hope the Welsh Section, led by Codeye Jones, remember their place in life.....

i think we almost did.....

Had a good day yesterday, met lots of people.

My starting table was interestin, had rudders and fatmarra across from me, btoh who ibe played a lot with online. Then in the two seats to my right were ali mallou, and mick micky wernick, .......
Good luck to RED and rudders (my 10% lol)

Pab

intresting = understatement- but was a class table- pab was very unlucky- malued was right- enjoyed the  banter- top players (and guys) all round

funniest moment when after 5  and a half hours I actually found a hand worth raising with- the look on the dealers face as the marra folded without looking at his hand....

pab was looking after that 10% with useful coaching hints... such as (on ft) dont you think a red bull would be better than another beer?? (advice declined..)

apart from the 90 mins around the bubble which got very stressfull- and was a bit of crapshoot i enjoyed the rest of the day. well played all on the FT esp the DTD guys vwp and Vwd. Iwan and red dog worked wonders staying in as long as they did with no cards and few chips.

(would have paid just to watch the Rob/Ali duel - was classic)

finally thanks for all the support i got especially when i had no cards at all (like for a day and a half) - its true snoop i did play more hands in half an hour than all of day one lol.
