Don't you think a team like Argentina or Brazil would make mince meat of the England defence?

Yes I do. Campbell was shocking.

Campbell seems to have been around for ages. England must be in bad shape if they need a 17 year old that has never played, and a bunch of other players with injuries.

To be honest Sark I think it comes down to our manager's mentality.

We have Bent who scored the best part of 20 goals this season and Defoe who is capable of the same but Eriksson, for some unknown reason, didn't take them.

A bit harsh to blame Campbell for coming into a game where the defense had looked dodgy from the start.

I don't think u can really point at Campbell - did you not see the blocks and tackles. From the throw in Terry miss judged the ball and we were all over from set pieces for the whole game.

The defence looked fine until Ferdinand was injured. Coincidence?

Yes Campbell made some good blocks but that doesn't mean he had a good game. I've seen Boumsong make good blocks!

At one stage I was going to say well done England but then the commentators and the pundits upset me by claiming Joe Cole had scored the goal of the tourney!!!!!!! Arrrrrrrghhhhhhhh!!

Fine goal as itw as, itw as not goal of the tourney didn't theys ee Argentina's 2nd against Serbia??  Possibly the best world cup goal I have ever seen.

Cole hut the ball sweetly perhaps more of a hit and hope from that range but still a really good goal.

Bambi LOL!

He just cant, he just cant, he just cant control his feet!

Which reminds me - now that we're selling Traore, surely Boumsong is the worst defender in the Premiership?

Is Argentina's better than Brazil's famous passing goal?

ffs!

If and it is a big IF scotland ever got to the world cup and even scored a goal as good as cole's, the scottish pundits would be saying that the goal was "the greatest ever scored in a world cup",(qualifying and finals included.) So please stop being so bitter, and get over it!

btw, the goal wasnt as good as the Argies goal earlier in the torunament, everyone knows that, heat of the moment stuff!

The Argies are more likely to make corned beef of the defence!

Thought England played well 1st half & deserved to be ahead, 2nd half they were shocking again.
I've said it before but SGE is holding you back big time but I think you already know that.
