Oh, it's so pleasant to be air conditioned!  Back in the Vic, awaiting the final 24 players' arrival.  I am always amazed by how quiet and dark it is in here - outside it's positively glowing and a little sweaty (when you're carrying more than one laptop) but in here it's like midnight.

Anyway, player list coming, and they're all just drifting in now.  You've got me flying solo until 5pm when Tikay will rejoin me for more updating, until the bitter end...

There has been a redraw - the blue chip baggies were already in place when I arrived - so these figures from the end of play last night are in no particular order, as it turns out.  Will bring the correct seating positions at the first count, when some of the chips have been redistributed.

So it's Dave Clayton who starts today with the highest stack, and Iit looks like somehow Scott Fischman has taken the second spot, after sitting with what looked like about 3,000 for most of yesterday.  A double up in level 3, I think it was, and he was off... snapping at his heels remain Dave Colclough, Jim Reid and Roman Yitzhaki.

A rather worrying announcement has just been made, to the effect that "If play has not finished by around 4am, remaining players will return the following day at 6pm."  Two day/three day event - who knows?

Nemesis, and anyone else brave enough to stick to their computers while the sun shines so merrily Outside... delighted to have company.  The first hand of the day has just been dealt.

Hi Jen, raining here

The very last hand of the night goes to Dewi James, who finds ACES and talks Raymond O’Mahoney into calling his all-in preflop bet of 15k.  “If I had AQ, I’d call!” says Dewi.  Raymond calls holding pocket 66’s.

Oh, well, I have wireless too, Nemesis, it's just that my power cord won't stretch out of my window...

Anyway, here's the first of the last three tables - featuring a smiley Dave who insisted that he wore his blondepoker hat all the time except for that exact second (pic coming just to back him up)

Jen,

Please tell DC that he must win today, no pressure, if he does not make the final table we are going to take away his bedroom in the mansion and make him sleep in the guest house. I think we will invitE a small begal to take his place. scared disco

Bri are you playing any of the smaller WSOP events this week? I might pop by and rail for a bit.

And what's missing from this overview - oh yes, table Three with the back of Willie Tann's head, and players who are looking anywhere but at the dealer...
