Guess this a real case of old versus new. Both at the top of the game, but at different times.

Bit like me sitting next to Arnold Schwarznegger I suppose. Whilst his guns dominated the eighties and early nineties, it's now time for a new set of 20 inch pythons to take over.

The charismatic Gavin Smith.

According to my analysis, he is the only remaining player wearing sandals.

Fascinating!

Just caught up!

  Jen and 'Adonis'

I've never been interested much in Vegas and the WSOP but after reading
this update it sounds really exciting and I want to be there.

Trace xx

There is still a whole lot going on here, despite the fact it's edging towards 4am (midday UK time, crikey) - the cash games especially are going strong.  Phil Hellmuth doesn't look like wild horses will drag him from the Chinese poker game... Smiley

Here's a recently snapped TJ Cloutier enjoying a midnight snack (OK, 4am snack).  Apparently his advice to Nick was, "Don't get the cheeseburgers that are ready-made and sitting there, get one freshly made."  Awesome advice from a living legend.

Here's Barry Greenstein in Profile, looking a little tired, but they all kind of do at this point.  The severely dressed arm to his right belongs to the floor man who was called in to settle a dispute about table balancing (a pretty important subject at this stage of the tournament).  Apparently the rules for moving people, as announced earlier, were that the big blind moves in the flop games (Hold'em and Omaha) to the worst position, while in Stud games the player who is in the same seat as the space to which they are moving has to make the journey.

I don't know whether this floor-call was due to a discrepancy in the ruling this time round, but there were some fairly heated words, as much as could be expected at this time of day.
