Yeah it seems Leeds simply were not going to accept an offer under £2m. Hull we rumoured to have offered 1.6m

Hopefully now he can bang some goals in and get us out of this minslump. Looking at his facebook status on friday he basically confirmed he wanted to stay and was happy with the Leeds fans support.

If you won that game though would you have Lambert in charge now ? Blessing in disguise imo.

I agree with you, was just saying that our GD has been pretty immense in recent months. Lambert may well have ended up at Norwich but it might have taken longer for Gunn to fail.

The main reason Lambert was appointed had little to do with the fact he was the manager of the opposition that day. More to do with our new Chief Executive David McNally, knew Lambert from Celtic and they had remained in touch, he was always going to be 1st choice replacement. Also McNally correctly thought Gunn was way over his head managing the club and was basically waiting for an opportunity to sack him, the opening day result gave him the perfect opportunity.

Fwiw McNally was appointed after Gunn had been re appointed, he has been a breath of fresh at board level for us. He doesn't care who he upsets as long as it is the best decision for the club.

I think we got 25% from the Kilgallon sale. Enough to pay for that shitty Southend striker who would prefer to go to Southampton lol gg Sir.

I would bet that Barnard chose Southampton as they met his wage demands, being a bigger club Southamption matters little when you have Ken Bates in charge of the pursestrings.
