We've all been there:-

For arguments sake this is a full ring game, 3/6NLHE the players involved in the hand including you have about $600 each in front of them

-We pick up AA in early position and raise 4x bb preflop and get 2 callers.
-Flop is 962 rainbow
-We bet 2/3rds size of the pot on the flop
-1st caller folds, seconds player moves all in.

What do you do?

I can't lay these hands down and keep getting busted by flopped sets what about everyone else?

Seems to be pretty clear so far.

7 of us have opted to go broke Smiley

no likely draws except maybe 7-8, so a set is possible - but so is T-T, J-J, Q-Q (some people don't reraise preflop with queens), and I've even seen an ambitious play made with 8-8 or A-9 in situations like this (although not at 3/6 NL, it has to be said... I've never played that high so I don't know what the deal is there Cheesy )

Then again I am a cash fish at the moment, so my answer is "neither, I wouldn't be in the game in the first place" Cheesy

Can't remember the last time I played Omahahahahaha (so named because the cards actually mock you while you play) at a ring game.

I think I lost with something like top-set-and-nut-flush-draw-on-the-flop to middle-set-who-made-a-runner-runner-straight; and never went back.

Shouldn't you be more inclined to fold on a dry board like that (no flush draws, only one open ended str8 draw possible) as if they ain't drawing they're more likely to have 2 pair or better. Although 2 pair looks unlikely too of course here.

Well I certainly struggle to fold in that situation and I feel less of a donkey now the vote say 80% of you would do the same. mmmm.......... I wonder if we are in the majority that lose in cash games!

Is it..
a) he has a set and has put you on AA or KK and thinks you will call
b) he thinks you are weak and will fold to an all in bet and so decides to make a move (risky and he would need to have a reason for thinking you are weak)
c) he has what he think is top pair and thinks you have 2 big cards and missed (so why not raise as it will achieve the same thing)
d) your opponent is a maniac

I can't see your opponent making an all in bet here unless he has a set and has put you on AA or KK and thinks you will call.  You would expect someone holding a set to call the flop bet and allow the pot to build before moving in, but if he thinks you will call he may make this move.  I have only recently started playing NL cash but I have found that in a lot of cases strong means strong (at least on Pacific).  Trapping and slowplaying only seem to be used when there is not much aggression in the hand and they feel they need to let others catch up.  If an opponent is being aggressive they think they will make more money by betting hard, they don't need to slowplay as their opponent already has a hand.

I also think there is an element of "I would go all in preflop with AA or KK so what has changed with this raggy flop ?"  Going all in as a bluff or with an overpair is a pretty rash move for your opponent given you showed strength before and on the flop.  I think you have to have a good idea of what type of player you are dealing with before you call off all your stack.  "But I Have Aces !!" is not enough.

My head says fold.

Would anbody fold here if you held KK or QQ ?  What about JJ ?  Have many of you called in situations like this and caught people bluffing or with weak holdings ?  Is an all in move like this typical in NL cash games ?

I would use the time available to carefully consider the aggression level of my opponent vs how my own aggression may have been percieved in order to calculate a weighted average of..... nah only kidding, call!
