Getting to the nitty gritty now

Mr Gold is the chip leader at $7.3m

Of the 45 I only know of 5! Lisandro, Friedman, Cunningham, Thruitz and Brenes

My pick to win remains Lisandro

I see no sign of Gryko or a single Brit I am afraid!

Of course not.

it seems to me that they are down to 45 much sooner than expected.

does this mean short sessions to fulfil tv commitments???

I didn't post the link for any reason other than to inform folks that someone had checked and there definitely were no Brits left, that's all, no ulterior motives here.

I had the fortunate experience of playing in the Main Event last year. On day one, after several levels, our table had lost only one player and the seat vacated was on my immediate left. This was filled by a gentleman who proceeded to give me a lesson in how to play poker over a period of eight hours.

Every pot I entered he came along for the ride then constantly outplayed me on the flop/turn/river. The fact that I made it into day two remains my greatest achievement in poker.

I learnt more that day than in all my previous years of playing and reading books and it has led to a more profitable and enjoyable poker playing experience since.

The reason for this post is that the gentleman in question is Richard Lee (currently lying in eleventh place) from Texas. He is obviously not a "name" as such but is without doubt a fantastic player and I will be following his progress with interest and rooting for him.

I have not seen or spoken to him since that day (I doubt he will even remember me!) but it was a pleasure to play with him and I hope he goes all the way.

With the lack of Brits etc left I hope blonde readers/posters will adopt him as one to follow and cheer him on with me.

Thanks

out in 50th according to pokerwire.  Moved over the top of Jamie Gold's 100k raise UTG for all his chips ($920,000) apparently with J3off - gold called with his AK and both hit.

Im reckoning there is 3 days left:

Today 45 down to mid 20's.
Tomorrow down to the final table.
Wednesday Final table.

Not sure whether they have an extra day back for the final as it went on for about 18 hours last year i believe.
