ok  blinds are 2000/4000  10 players left and we have done a saver of £500 for 10th place

I'm the short stack with my bb in and 10.5k left , other table has all stacks over 35k and one huge stack at 90k,  my table has  Greek Jack to my left 45k, Richard Ashby to his leftabout 80k, Amanda just doubled to 30k and Theo on about 25k

I get dealt  two hearts in the bb
Richard Ashby raises to 9k everybody folds around to me,  I think for a good minute, take a look at other table and decide as I've lively cards i'm all in.

Question I have to ask is do you think I made the right move considering my stack ?
I'll give you the outcome later

The very last hand of the night goes to Dewi James, who finds ACES and talks Raymond O’Mahoney into calling his all-in preflop bet of 15k.  “If I had AQ, I’d call!” says Dewi.  Raymond calls holding pocket 66’s.

You cannot pass this one. You have to go for it, if you want to win the tournament of course.. Heads up action is nice too - just pray that your up against AK AQ rather than a PP. If you double up here you are on 23k but if you pass your BB and double up next hand off of the BB then your only on 13k and in need of another double up withing one round still!! But, of course, if you want to just make the final table then a fold can be made - but dont expect any higher than 9th place and you might not even get there considering everybody elses stack!

yep I thought the same thing and hoped exactly the same, live cards and all that

my 2 4 off was live, i was v  AJ off
flop 9 9 2     yaya i think
turn jack   grrrr
river irrelevant  grrrr  lol   I'm sure I made the right move as if I move at that point i can be on about 30k or if I wait I only have 3 hands and i'm guaranteed a caller

aah well good job I have a £500 saver Wink  thanks boys , didn't think I did anything wrong

I can see the logic behind what you done Mel and Rookie makes a fair point as well, but i would have waited for another chance, but thats probably why i don't win as much when i get down to the bubble when i am short stacked.

you're BB...making the move with 2 live cards was a fair play..I actually quite like it and respect players that can make it.
If you had not been BB or SB it would have been a terrible play..but from the BB (when you're already involved in the pot) well done.

Passing is shocking here, i can't believe people think you should pass here!!!

My question is what happened the hand before? Why did you not push all in UTG?

Don't push blind, look then push.

UTG+1? Why did you fold? The whole round when i am that short i am looking to push any unopened pot.

I was stealing when I could which was difficult when Richard Ashby was raising almost every pot, I reraised all in twice when he did that and folded

But after doing that manoevre for over 45 mins with no cards I think I lasted a lot longer than most people would have done in that position
