Wow, ty ty ty.

Yes, it's true. Well, almost......

Truth is, there was 6 way business, but after that, 4 of us vowed to play it out properly, & we sure did - it was another two & a half hours before I accumulated enough luck to fall across the winning line, both my last 2 hands being absolute corkers.

I collected £8,700, with the others taking £8,000, £11,000, £11,000, £11,000 & £11,000. So maybe I can't really say I won it, not properly, but I can pretend I did, & Angell believes me. Got a nice Trophy & Winners Jacket, too.

But it's also true to say I returned with 8k, blinds 2k-4k, & I was in the SB first hand!

I'm too tired to type, talk or walk, (I had to come home after Day One & go back after 4 hours zzzz's), so I'm off to  bed now, I'll try & thank everyone  properly tomorrow.

But before I do, a huge thank you to the enormous crowd of railbirds at Luton, never seen so many watching a Final, no doubt all assembled by the PRO Chairman himself, Colchester Kev, who Railed me almost from the start. "Get in, Grandad, you MUG" was echoing from all corners of the Casino! And to Thewy & Chili, who revved me up by Text all day, & Red for his never-ending encouragement. Oh, & the other Finalists, it was played in great spirit, & they have to consider themselves well unlucky that I somehow dodged all their bullets for two whole days.

Many more thanks due, & on way, but that's it for now, bed awaits, to sleep, perchance to dream. Of being the winner(ish) of the £750 NL UK Open......Well, that's what the CV & the databases will say!

Thank you again.

xx

PS - MPower - blow by blow account will follow, I suggest you put a full Chirp Alert in place, you may never hear the end of this.......

Well done Tikay, I was the other guy from Notts at the other end of the table from you in the final. I don't think I've ever come back from being so short before, so it was an excellent effort for you to even make the final. Fair play to the four of you for playing it out properly at the end, i wasn't interested as soon as the deal had been done as I needed to get away asap and drive up to Lancs afterwards.

Hope you find a good place for the trophy!
