Is it the worst cliche or quaintly ironic that i'm drinking brandy right now?

The very last hand of the night goes to Dewi James, who finds ACES and talks Raymond O’Mahoney into calling his all-in preflop bet of 15k.  “If I had AQ, I’d call!” says Dewi.  Raymond calls holding pocket 66’s.

I thought I was an alcoholic the other month and took two weeks off booze. I thought about drink every day but didn't have one. When the two weeks were over I got pissed again and enjoyed it. I just had to prove I wasn't addicted. I think it's ok to think about drink in the morning as long as you don't have one. Booze for breakfast is a pretty big turning point I think......

I think this proves you pretty much are addicted.

This isn't entirely true imo,I'm not an alcholic,I do like a drink but would say i'm a social drinker, i never drink in the house on my own. However,i had drank for about 10days or summit in a row so decided i would go a week without having a drink,i thought about it everyday but the reason i thought about it was because i had set myself the challenge to do so,the day after i had a drink think it was a monday tho tbf and everyone likes a drink on a shitty monday.I know i could go without having a drink for the rest of my life, but why would i want to ?

I agree, I hardly touch the stuff and wouldn't say anyone needs to spend the rest of their life off it...but if you thought a month ago that you were an alcoholic and then just tried two weeks off it, all the time wanting a drink, then get pissed as soon as your "challenge" has ended..I'd say you were pretty close to being one.

that's the way it is perceived with smokers, why not with drinkers?

If he wanted to have a drink all the time during the 2 week period he has a problem,if he thought about the fact he hadn't had a drink but didn't really miss it then it's fine
