good effort girl...what a nice roll ur on.
that last hand is a tough one esp as it's against the loose guy with all the chips.
having read your post & given that you two were getting on pretty well, perhaps the biggest clue was his verbal 'don't do it' comment.
who isn't a great analyist with the benfit of hindsight eh...

(ps, i of course could never pass two pair police)

Hi Maria,

I would just like to say it was great to meet and play against you, you have a great game. I know how you feel, I played the best poker of my life for 3 days and blew it all on one hand on the final table. The hand is posted on the gutshot forum for the world to see to my embarrassment. I'm going to print it out and pin on the wall next to my bed. I was so upset by my play I couldn't think properly for about 3 hours. Poker really is a battle of mistakes. Like you I will learn from this and come back stronger. All the best Maria and hope to play against you again soon.

Hi Kev

Thanks for your comments.  It was great to play against you too.  You were a tough cookie to work out truly.  I'm sure I layed down the best hand against you a couple of times  Cheesy Cheesy.  I'll have a look at Gutshot and see what you did hehe!

In the cold light of day, all is well today.  Obviously my mind flicks back to THAT hand and so it will for you also for a while but am feeling so fortunate today at how amazing this poker thing is.  Every single comp that goes by I learn something else.  You feel the most unbelievable highs and even worse lows but we sign up for another comp over and over again.  So we keep on trucking and as long as each time my imaginary suitcase of tricks gets fuller and fuller who can get down?

Well done Kev

once again congrats Maria. you played a great game yesterday and looked completely at ease on that table. you really did yourself proud. that big win's just round the corner

bloodshoteyes- well done for not losing it after the early run of bad luck. that was a lesson in patience and how to play a shortstack. next time will you bring a comfy chair for your brother, he was suffering after standing up all day

and well done to the Gutshot, a great structured tournament with so much play left on the last day

Maria the hard work you have done lately has paid off so quickly for you, and you deserve it.

The respect you are gaining with these rapid results, are priceless.

you are a star, not just on the felt but off it too, but rememeber i told you you would be fantastic, when you were wary about going pro. Therefore i can say the following statement, with pride:

"I knew Maria, before she was Famous" - lol star of the highest order
