Chip counts from Table Know Quite a Lot of Them:
Kenna James 21,000
David Plastik 12,325
Willie Tann 25,000
Joe Hachem 13,600
Mickey Wernick 2,500
Julian Gardner 40,000
Richard King 18,150
Going to bring a photo and chip count from the table chip leader, the blond guy who took Mickey's chips...

Disaster Hand For Mickey Wernick -
Mickey raised under the gun to 2,500 (blinds now 300/600, ante 75). The player on his immediate left re-raised another 5,000. Call from Mickey.
Flop:
. Mickey checks, and the young guy pushes for around 19k - call!
Mickey shows
against new big stack's
!
Turn and river:
so no help and Mickey is left with just 2,500 after the blinds went through him right afterwards...
And Mickey has failed to worm his way out of that predicament, finally falling to an A-9 vs K-J confrotnation - Jack on the Turn.

Henning Granstad, while never seeming to develop a chunky stack, seems to be stealing a small pot almost every time I pass his table. Before he was moved to his present location, where he's in the company of Noah Boeken and Andreas Hagen, I saw this slightly odd one:
Henning called a raise from the Under-the-gun Matey in the big blind.
Flop:
Check-check.
Turn:
Check-check again.
River:
Henning bets a little take-a-stab-at-it bet of 1,100. Call. He turns over
. It's the winner.

Some departing comments from Mickey:
"Ah well, that's the way it goes. He'd been moving in quite a lot before he took my chips with those Queens. I had to call, he would have made the same move with Tens, Jacks, Ace King, Ace Queen, etc."

Le chip count Francais:
Pascal Perrault 26,000
Paul Testud 16,200
And some other miscellaneous counts:
Noah Boeken 30,000 or so, hard to count - he says, "I think it's 30,000. I hope it's 30,000."
Gus Hansen 27,500

It's that time of the evening, when we are approaching the final hour's play, and they've taken all the coffee away from the press room, right, as Tom points out, when we need it the most. It's that special time, when the mind can wander. And here's what you get - my thoughts on 'Don Blandito': the grossest snack this side of the equator.
Pictured here, it's actually what appear to be large kernels of corn, sort of freeze-dried and covered in some kind of savoury powder which smells a bit like catfood. I seem to remember Americans eat something like this, perhaps that's what 'Crackerjacks' are... I don't know. It brings back odd memories of being disappointed as a kid in California when I picked these to eat at a baseball game. Great name, though.

Matt Tyler just reported a hand back to me: "I raised preflop with K-J and found 3 callers. I then bet out on the K-J-x Flop. This guy next door re-raised and I pushed all-in because of the flush draw. He folded, but it was pretty meaty pot. On about 40k now."
Meanwhile, Paul Parker has more vital concerns: "I'm on the feature table, but there are no cameras..."

I just wanted a chance to use that icon. Anyway, it's a BREAK right now, but they'll be heading back for the final level of the day in less than five minutes, so better go catch them. Saw Ryan Fronda talking to Paul Parker in the break (yes, that way round) - and he was saying something along the lines of, "you wait for the right hand at the right time..." Something like that, anyway. There seems to be a nice optimism about the British players still remaining, although signs of fatigue are showing here and there.
