Hi all,

Im new to this site but thought Id post as I really enjoyed the tourney despite busting in 23rd when Ironside and the scottish lad (suited jock?) who I'd sat by both days did a nice co-operation move on me and my AQ lost to K 10 and my last 15k went.

I think ScottM was sat on the other side of me on sunday from what I can tell and it was a real pleasure to play against these 2 lads for all of 2 days. I was pretty close to taking suited jock (if the right guy) out on day one as he was down to 10k so it was fitting that he got me in the end. Glad you 2 managed to cash as I presume you had to miss your flights for your final table spots.

Just want to add that it was a great tourney and I really enjoyed my 1st live experience so I hope to be back at one of the other APAT events.

We'll done to everyone who made the dough!!!

Cheers

Hi everyone - Daniel here.  Still in shock after yesterday.

Mark, Scott, Antony, Jimmy and Matt (and everyone else on the final table) - you all played fantastic poker, it was just my lucky day.  It was a privilege to play on that table, some great poker and some great people.

Matt - that KQ v TT was the defining hand for me.  If the cards had been dealt the other way round it would have been you and Mark heads up (where again I was the lucky one with that last flop).

Got to thank Des, Tony, Mel and everyone else from the APAT for organising a cracking few days, and the same for the Broadway casino - excellent venue and it all ran very smoothly.

It was great to meet you all yesterday (including Ironside, who was absolute top quality), and look forward to meeting up again soon.  I didn't know about this place until yesterday  - but I'll be spending a bit of time here from now on  if you don't mind?

Cheers,

Daniel

Congrats mate and best of luck in denmark Smiley You played a patient final table and your right that was the hand that won the tournament for either of us... Just sad my cries of one time went unanswered... I called practically every card from the dealers all night Smiley

Suited,

Glad you and Scott made final table - made missing flights worth it. I take it you took the bus back. I bet that was pleasant - Another night in the Brit may have just about been better!

I may have to make the trip north of the border if i get a seat!

Cheers

Mark - you were right, it didn't last long heads-up.  It was always going to come down to who got lucky, and it was me this time.

Looking forward (and farily concerned) about Copenhagen - don't want to let everyone down, and want to make sure I play the best I can.

Thanks Tight end.

Well done on 3rd Suited Jock. Just read the last few pages and sounds like you were very unlucky not to win.

Will look again later to see how to get into some online tournies against you guys.

Back to work for now.

Cheers

Greetings from sunny Cornwall everyone.
Well done Daniel and best of luck in Denmark.
Well played to Mark, Matthew, Scott and the rest of you guys, privilege to play at a table with you.
I have never been in a casino before in my life, nor I have played any live poker before, (other than £5 rebuys at my local club which are nothing more than a joke).
It was a fantastic experience, a superb casino, and an exceptionally well organised event.
And it was all made better by the fact that every player I met and chatted to was a genuinely nice person, (including Ironside).
Tikay (Mr Kendall, to me), and the rest of the APAT crew - THANKS!!!
Is there another game tomorrow?Huh?

(I was the only ginger one at the final table, by the way)  Cheesy
(Actually, it's auburn)  Cheesy

Well done Daniel!!! Still cant stop thinking about my moment of madness...... At the point Antony raised I knew I wanted to push with my pair of 10's thought about folding but I didn't expect him to have a higher pair than my 10's... With the blinds being so big I couldn't really afford to play flops, and didn't mind taking my chances Mano amano but when he turned them aces I was gutted..... I rode my luck at points, and had people suck out against me a few times, but I think we all did at some point....

Looking forward to the next one.... Although it will be hard to get that close again... Many thanks to everyone, the organisers and all the runners who made it what it was.... It was extremely enjoyable......
