A great read as usual Red,  ....Hampstead really is an expensive place to live,and contains a whos whos in the celeb world. If you had turned right out of the tube(the deepest tube station in London),you would have stumbled upon Hampstead Heath and its wonderful views over London....and a bit further on you could have knocked on doors worth 15 million+.....
