another weird thing about this was that dave said he never even put the money onto blonde where he was meant to be playing, the money was transferred on stars and tilt. so blonde must have known it hadn't been deposited? kev also posted on that thread that he had met dave and everything was OK he was going to carry on with the stake ASAP.

so basically all the mods and cos knew what was going on and nobody said anything. IIRC I was the only person asking WTF was going on and Keith even told me I was out of order for doing that Smiley if I hadn't we would prob still be waiting for dave/mods/blonde/cos to let us in on the secret.

also i don't understand why a solicitor would get so upset about an hour or two's wages.

I've read the entire thread, and I can't find a post where I told you that you were out of order.

a borrower nor a lender be

Well I say that Dewi, but I still end up making mistakes, & lending money bad, from time to time. Some of us will never learn. But it's sometimes hard - & wrong - to reject a genuine overture from someone who seems OK, & is in a spot.

I do the same Tony, but it's not bad advice!

a borrower nor a lender be

hmm what about your good mates?

I cannot be arsed to listen to crappy greek rumour mongering, I also don't understand why things like this are dragged through forums, poker is full of grimmers, nippers and tossers just man up and deal with it.

I like RHM though and hearsay will not change that.

Let me get this straight. This Robert guy asked for his dollars back when a staking arrangement he was involved in went beserko...and people think his behaviour was unacceptable? What?? I think he seemed pretty mild-mannered about getting grimmed tbh. Many people wouldn't think twice about turning up and batting the guy's head in to get their money back. What do people think are the moral principals regarding getting back the money somebody stole from you? He screwed his mates over? Do me a favour.

was talking about this from the last page of his well, not "out of order" now that I've gone back and checked

hey grimmerdave, busto?

Bit harsh Justin.

Give the guy a chance to explain himself.

i said if i got paid i would go round deleting all my posts which I did do. this thread just feels weird with everyone piling in to slag off robert when he's always seemed a nice guy to me, espec when he's not here to defend himself, all i was saying is that obv other people knew as well, I don't care tbh I got paid ages ago

Sigh.

If that's what happened noone would have said anything.

The implication that Robert knew before anyone else that Dave had spunked the money and attempted to use his position of moderator to get his cash back was the thing which surprised and upset me.

This fact has since been brought into doubt by the posting of a pm by Cos (which has since been deleted).

So now noone thinks the worse of Robert, and everyone hopes that one day he'll be back on the blondepoker forums.

How could he possibly use his position as moderator to get his cash back?

Did he use his sacred moderator powers to threaten to ban Dave if he didn't get his cash first? I doubt it.

He may have used his position as being first to know to try to get his money back and why wouldn't he? But what did that have to do with being a mod?

If it was common knowledge amongst the mods then they are equally to blame. If it wasn't then how can this have anything to do with the fact that at the time Robert was a mod.

It's not his job to let everyone else know what's going on. Stakers should be aware of their own stakees and are responsible for their own money.

I'm saying nothing bad about Robert because has a legal eagle and I don't won't to be taken to court. Grin

Anyway I remember him as one of the guys who put a lot of work in making the early blonde bashes successful and the man with classic jumpers.
