I love the new bond film - saw it yesterday. The running scenes at the beginning are breathtaking.

Did anyone see Richard Branson's shot? Standing being searched at the airport as Bond goes in the opposite way? And - it really looked like Tony G as the barman - we all said it but we couldn't get a good look at him.

Next blondite to see it please let me know.

Thats odd, one if the guys i went to see it with said they saw his then, i just dismissed his opinion completely..

I thought the poker scenes were totally predictable and the $150m was stupid, but if u ignore the poker side of it, the film was pretty good.

It was Branson obv. It said on the news the day before.

I also thought the film was good as a whole, but the poker scenes were ridicuolous and ultimate cooler after ultimate cooler transpired.

I enjoyed the film and thought he makes a good Bond. One downside was the amount of product placement in the film, which winds me up generally.
As for the poker i think it worked for most of the audience which was packed. Trouble is for me that for the next ten minutes I was trying to work out how James Bond was still in the hand with the hand he had when there were three hands that would have obviously raised preflop unless of course he is a
Can you imagine the chat box afterwards if it had been online if he had called a raise? Cheesy

I thought it was excellent.  Totally different and went a long way to explain how Bond(Craig) became Bond(Connery et al).  Fantastic action scenes, no cheesey one liners, Bond making mistakes and being vunerable, it had it all.  Poker scenes totally predictable but did not spoil it.  Way too much product placement, Branson definitely at aiport and virgin plane taking off, mobile phones and laptops everywhere.  Anyway still fantastic, in fact I'm off to see it again, can't wait for the DVD release with all the usual Bond extras.

Favourite lines;

Bond (to barman); "Vodka Martini"
Barman;  "Shaken or stirred"
Bond;  "Do I look like I'm bothered"

Classic!!!

(sorry if not word perfect but you know which scene I mean)

THE OMEGA WATCH SCENE/LINE ISN'T PRODUCT PLACEMENT.

Bond in has always worn omega watches for a specific reason (usually a seamaster), this film is establising his character, (hence the voka martin recipie).

So Bond pointing out his watch make is part of this.
