This is it...D-Day
«

I have decided that I have had enough and I have come to the end of my poker experience.
It has been a rocky journey and I have enjoyed it but I now know that I can never be as good as I would like to be and so the dream ends.
The mtt that I worked so hard to win was a great thrill but as was pointed out to me... did I really deserve a place in the Hall of Fame.........so I would like you to remove my name and award it to amcagarth who is a much worthier winner. He has had an excellent run of wins and makes the final table on mtts regular and has won a seat into the 5 rings... GL to you in the live final.
As this is my swansong I would like to say first of all I wish you all good luck and I will still pop into the forum and say HI now and again.
I would also like to say that although the jovial behavior of a certain blonde is looked on as "fun" and a bit of a laugh...not all see it that way. I see it as playground bullying...who will be next i wonder?

Sorry to hear that. Sounds like I have missed something here about a Blonde (can anyone enlighten me).
But good luck anyway.

It is my belief that anyone can be a top poker player if they work hard and really put their mind to it. This will sound very harsh, and I apologise in advance, but giving up is the easiest way not to fulfil your dreams in poker.
As for your Hall of Fame entry, why would we remove a deserved entry? You were inducted because of all the work and effort you put in to achieving that first multi win. If you'd have quit a while ago when you had zero wins to your name, then that first multi victory would never have arrived and you wouldn't have had the pleasure of that experience.

Now now Suze, how many D-Days can one person have?
http://blondepoker.com/forum/index.php?topic=14654.0
You're just getting greedy now!
As for asking for your BHOF entry to be removed because you don't feel it was worthy, means that mine wasn't worthy either in your eyes!
In my eyes it IS worth every word written about it and boo bloody sucks to anyone who disagrees! Myself and Mr 74os were the first two ever BHOF's! My only claim to fame! (Yeah, yeah I know)!
I was/am proud of that win, and no miserable, jealous, sad bugger is gonna take that away from me!! (I don't mean you Suze btw).
Suze - ignore the "bully", give poker a break, don't take it so damn seriously and treat it as a bit of fun!
See you on the tables soon.

You have to do what you want/need to do in terms of your poker playing. I don't think people should automatically say don't give up - it depends on how it is effecting you.
On the hall of fame thing you do deserve to be there, you have been selected to be there. Whoever said you don't certainly doesnt. I would highly reccommend publically naming and shaming - you dont owe them any privacy rights.
Good luck

suzanne, don't quit. I love reading your posts and seeing you on the Blonde tables. You have a great sense of humour and if you leave, it won't be the same. I haven't won any MTTs and I've been playing for a year now - wait... a year on Monday actually! Yeah, ok, I have won about $1000, no big deal and I have probably spent more than that in sitting at the tables.
Whoever this bully is, you should get him/her removed from Blonde. There is no place in society for bullying, either in nursery, school, work or play. This person is always going to feel as though they are better than you. But they are not. They are inferior, useless, a big pile of steamin shit. I stopped playing for about a week and didn't even look at the forum, but I missed it, so I got back into it and cashed in a couple of tourneys.
If you do decide to ride off into the sunset, take your good memorys with you and keep in touch with the forum.

suzanne...
don't exactly know whats going on but..
1) thanks for saying I should be in the HoF.. I dont think I should be..I'm someone who wins or who doesnt place.. I take risks
2) your HoF should stay where it is in its own right
3) if someone IS bullying you... the best thing to do is to ignore them..do not reply ever to anything they say.. they'll soon get bored and go elsewhere
Don't give up because of bullies or bad cards..if you do we will all will have!!!
Best of luck whatever your decision

I don't know you or your situation, but if it's not making you happy then it might be right to take a break for a while - then decide if you want to stop playing permanently.
Having only seen you play once (in the Blonde sat the other night), you seemed to be playing fine from where I was sitting (which was from the rail after I got knocked out early doors...again).
I've read your posts about your battle to win your first MTT - and that's a hell of a achievement.
I know what you mean though about wanting to be a good player and to 'achieve' something in poker. That's why I play. I couldn't play if I thought I was an average player who would just about break even over time. There'd be no interest for me then. Whatever I do, I want to do it well. Which is why I don't try and sing too often, as I don't do it very well at all.
I've had a shocking week in cash games, with AA cracked three times last night alone. I think other than the bad luck, there is also a leak in my game somewhere. So I'm dropping down a level to see what I'm doing wrong, and hopefully replace the chunk that's been takned out of my bankroll.
As for the bullying, I don't know what's happened, but no one should have to endure anything that upsets them or makes them feel uncomfortable on the forum. I'm sure if you speak to a moderator or post something in public, you'll have many supporters on the subject. I'm new here, so I don't know how the forum has been run long-term, but from what I've seen they won't tolerate bullying or abuse.
Good luck with whatever you decide to do.

Suzanne, from what I've seen you play in the blondepoker tournaments, you have a very good game. I think a short break from the game is need by all at some point. Hopefully, you'll come back refreshed and recharged.

C'mon Suz you can't leave if some numbnut sent you a snide e-mail. If i did that i would walk out of work at about 9.05am every morning.
If its due to a horrible run you know by now they happen but won't last forever if you keep doing the right things. I mean i was betting on draws for nearly 5 consecutive hands in a home game and the lucky fishes all had aces. One guy 2 hands in a row (but thats another thread) hey ho you can't win em all have another glass of wine and start again I say.
You are in the HoF for good reason. Blonde as I see it is an inclusive community for players at all levels which allows small stakes chancers like me to air our views on poker and endless other amounts of pisch with those who see poker as their job. No idea who would feel they have the right to question your inclusion other than somoene who "thinks" their great play hasn't been recognised frankly I don't care as it seems a rather sad thing to do.
All i can say is that i have thoroughly enjoyed meeting you at the tables (especially at about 4am on a sunday morning when i am hoovered and you and your mad sister wake me up before i donk off all my chips and i go on to score a 2nd place) and also at BB3.
Best Wishes
James

D-Day was not the end of the war, and the alphabet goes all the way to Z.
We all know of the frustration you speak of.
Break is what you need.

Suzanne
the BHOF is constructed not just to reward in some small way those who win WPT's, reach WSOP final tables, win festivals or do something universally seen as mega in the poker world.
Its about the community too. It was set up SPECIFICALLY to recognise smaller players winning events or attaining goals that might be considered small by many people but are nevertheless significant to that individual player. We chose you for the BHOF for precisely this reason. We watched you work hard at your game, at times put up with (to be blunt) some ridicule on the PHA board and yet carry on. Then you won your first MTT. That is precisely what BHOF is all about. It is not a Poker Hall of Fame for mega stars only, its a Community Hall of Fame.
When I first heard two weeks ago that you were getting some flak for your inclusion I felt sorry for you. If anyone should be getting flak it is ME because I wrote it up, mentioned it to the other mods and then publicised it.
If you want to talk to me about the other issues you refer to, you know where I am. If I'm the problem, try another mod!!
