wicked - i am also thinking of getting one but this has been going on about 10 years! I cant believe how hard it is to decide. I am the closest at the moment that i have ever been, even scouted a guy out in Netherfield, Notts who is excellent.
I'm going for lower back (safest incase its shit) and its based on the Red Hot Chili Peppers black logo with a lot of detail going on on either side (maybe a bit tribaly but not totally) and the guy will design it for me.
What you thinking of having? Where? and why?

A tattoo is for life. A piercing is for for as long or short as you want, so I am told .Don't ask it was a long time ago.

I dunno Ironside. Makes it more inviting to me if she has one. Altho even better if it's a small discrete one that isn't so visible until later on. Yogi

Don't, not a character from a game series with no lasting value. If it is to happen at all, make it timeless IMHO

I've considered getting tattos in the past but then there was a craze for them so I changed my mind.
I'd thought about getting the Chili Peppers star on the inside of the wrist that the guys have.
As well as the outline of a symbol for a band called In Flames. Basically like my picture but without the face and it wouldn't be filled in.
I haven't totally dismissed the idea but it's not at the forefront of my mind.

Sometimes you have to suffer a little bit in your youth to motivate yourself to succeed in later life. Do you think if Bill Gates got laid in high school, do you think there'd be a Microsoft? Of course not.

I love tattoos if they are well chosen and mean something. I have two myself. one on my back is all skulls and black holes and other heavy shit that I was impressed with as a 16 year old metal fan. It's on my back so no one, including me ever sees it. On my right arm I have a big colourful guitar tattoo. Now that I'm happy with. for the last 18 years I've defined myself as a guitarist and getting a symbol of that was a good decision.
my only advice would be try and choose a design that says something about yourself and even if it's not always going to be relevant (ie I've recently retired from chasing rock superstardom) it should be something that refers back to defining phases of your life.
Don't just jump on the band waggon and get some meaningless celtic band

BonusĀ there are better ways to ward off my attentions than getting a tattoo, like showing me attention and expressing an intresting and pretending you want a realtionship its turned me off many women and allowed me to still look only 23 when in reality i am a few years older

Don't do it.. sounds cool right now. but its for life, I have 3 one on each bi-cept and one on the inside of my lower lip (don't ask) I can not think of one reason to have one, other than .. "IT WILL LOOK COOl" well 10 years time it ain't so cool. YOU WILL REGRET IT. I don't know 1 person who still likes their tatoo..
