Feedback: Was great, except i don't believe you should allow moderator's etc to use their special lever whilst playing... that's just not fair.

If I was KeithyB, I'd postpone till the other side of Christmas. Then he may win by default Roll Eyes

I think this was an excellent idea.

A group stage might be something to think about. Makes those who donk out in round one feel more involved. Smiley

I thought it was fantastic - so much so that I am REALLY ANNOYED not to be playing the old guy in the final to try and get revenge for the heads-up match at BB3.

I thought that as well, but then you run into the potential problem of someone who can't qualify having to play a final group game, which it might be difficult to tie them down to playing.

Maybe you'll just have to not be so rubbish in future Tank?

He's had some good results I'll grant you, but his standard deviation is very high.

Months with nothing, then three or so at once.

First, a big thank you to Tightend for setting up this event, I for one had a great time - it's my first ever heads-up comp, so I didn't know what to expect. Was tonnes of fun. Smiley

I do have a couple of suggestions, regarding this bit:

FINAL TO BE BEST OF THREE. Stakes/times to be arranged between yourselves.

1) In later stages, would it be an idea to increase the number of 'frames' that the players play? E.g. best of five for the semis, best of seven for the final, perhaps?

I wouldn't mind playing the extra games - if I were fortunate to get that far of course - and it would bring it in line with snooker where they give more play to the players, the further they get.

I'm not sure but I seem to remember somewhere being told that pro Heads Up comps increase the number of chips in each stage to give the players more play; of course this can't be done on Tribeca, so increasing the number of frames might be a compromise on that score.

2) As for the 'stakes and times to be arranged between yourselves[finallists]' bit, when the finalists agree on when they are playing, would it be worthwhile informing the rest of Blonde in advance as to when and where (stakes!) it will be taking place?

I can think that there might be several Blondeites who might want to railbird the final, cheer on the players, lay fake odds, insult them to their faces (you know, 'banter' Grin), and that wouldn't be possible if the masses don't know when and where it's happening.

Understandable if the players want a closed room for the event, though...

Yours,

Zimbra

Thats outrageous. I was drawing to 17 flushes against Rookie, & missed twice.
