its a very well known saying around the country that if you wanna bet with someone and you dont know them you normally say someone who knows the both of you will stand on for the bet if me or you didnt pay,a bit like a gaurantor.i cant beleive youve never heard of that.
as to it being a problem for me, for you to bet me £3,500 and i dont know you ,you wouldnt need anyone to stand on for you coz im sure id find you lol.you dont arf get touchy

I reckon Flushy could take him with one hand tied behind his back in a fight, but he'd have no chance playing heads up poker Cheesy

I was just wondering why you felt the need to have someone back it up, your word is enough for me but i decline on the offer.

at present casinos can only charge a max of 10% or £50 which ever is the lesser

this is gaming law

Also saw on another forum that the staff are expected to strike on new years eve - a dispute over pay rises.

It wont be just grosvenors, Gala has already introduced this in Leicester + 10% reg fee

The worst thing is they could if they wanted to charge this per hour!!! In effect the longer you last in the tourny the more you are expected to pay, this is worse case scenario, but legitamate!!!!?!!

There is also no legal cap, although some casinos will cap. These charges will sweep the cardrooms in casinos ala reg fees, if there is no protest then this will be accepted as the norm within 6 months!! IMO!!

10% is the max reg fee with a cap of £50

However this is a session charge for use of the cardroom!!

That view is incorrect now, imo. I think you will find the GC Guidelines suggest Venues can now charge whatever they wish. (i.e.,what the market will stand). This is a good thing -  "market forces", left to themselves, will ALWAYS get it right.
