He has some decent bowlers, and was helped by the pitch and weather (an probably a little luck too).

A solid start to the season means I'm third in both my OD and FC leagues, after four games in each, giving hope that I can maintain my Div V status in FC this time round.

My OD league is pretty comfortable and a top 4 place should be easily secured so I'm focusing on my FC league more this season.

In FC, although I'm in 3rd I still have yet to play the top 2 teams, who will beat me, so it is a slightly false position currently.  However I did get the better, pointswise, when drawing with my two main rivals for the 3/4/5th spots which is encouraging but the tightness of the games means I can easily see the relegation scrap going right to the wire.

Still it makes it much more interesting than just endlessly beating first class bots game after game like last season!

Hmmm.....just beat the first of them by an innings and am now 16pts clear at the top!   Shocked

Next two games are against the strongest team on paper although they did lose to the team I just beat.  All seems a bit tactical ( or possibly poor fitness mangement) at top of this league so I need to be careful otherwise I may end up in div4 which would be a nightmare.

Certainly can't see me getting relegated now which is a great result!!

The organisation isn't too bad - it's sorting the tables out, making sure everyone sets their matches up etc.

I'll happily play a friendly on Sunday, but will probably have to rest my first team so won't be that competitive.

I'll do the Cup admin if no-one else wants to.  Sign up below if you want to play this time around.
