The reason I posted the hand is it includes a concept I've been thinking about recently.
When playing heads up, the weak lead bet (which Villain makes by betting 50 into a 300 pot on the flop) invariably means a drawing a hand... I raise him to make his draw expensive. But, being a bad player, he calls anyway. when he hits a pair on the turn he wasn't going anywhere. My bet on the river is terrible. He isn't going to pass a hand which beats me and I've got enough of a hand to beat a busted draw. Anyways, it turns out to be a sick value bet. I get lucky he's such a bad player.
But, the interesting thing about the hand is the weak lead on the flop. I have never seen it discussed, but I feel most players think the weak lead is a "stopping" bet and will raise when they are confronted with it. So, for the past few days, when the blinds are 50-100, I've called a raise and I flop a big hand in first position I have tried the weak lead. (Only try this against good players however). It has been very successful. I have been raised virtually every time I tried it.
Anyways, I will collate my figures and post an update later tonight or tomorrow. I'm afraid it isn't going to be very pretty reading however
