Many apologies... I fell pretty ill about the 23th of Feb and didn't recover for a week or so. And the figures looked so dismal I didn't feel motivated to complete the thread..

I will dig them out when I've got an hour to spare some time next week.

Ok. The final score for the month was 72,000 vpps and a loss of $12,000. As I said I got really ill at the end of the month and only earned about 5,000 vpps during the last week of Feb. Even so, I would probably have finished 10-15k short of my target.

The worst month I've had since I gave up work to play full time.

Now, I have thought long and hard about the reasons for this loss and came up with the following:

1. Playing too much. Obviously when you have a target of playing soooo many games, you really need to crack on and not really have too many days off. Hence even when I felt jaded or bored I stuck in there and played on. Which resulted in 4 days of particularly heavy losses. If I had stopped2 hours earlier on each of those 4 days I would have had a small winning month. Playing when frsh and keen is imperitive.

2. The games are getting harder. Lack of easy methods for Americans to get money onto stars meant losing players couldn't fund their accounts. 6 months ago when looking on sharkcope I would guess over 75% of my oppponents were losers. In Feb, I would guess this figure was about 33%.

3. Lack of games. I would sometimes sit and wait 20 minutes for a game. This would never happen 6 months ago.

So, there you go. I failed. And I lost. A pretty terrible month all round.

March has been alot kinder. I have stepped up to bigger games and played good poker. I have earned nearly 50,000 vpps in the process. The temptation is still there to go for supernova elite and get an Aston Martin. But, the most important thing is to play winning poker. And that's what I will focus on.

I will update this thread at the end of every month, if anyone is interested, to let you know how I'm getting on in the pursuit of the twin targets,.,,

End of April Update...

I'm on 284k VPP's. I really have gone off the pace.

I've heard rumour there will be a double VPP week as there was last year.. and this is really my only chance of making Supernova Elite... So I'm going to keep playing fairly solidly until Stars reaches 100million hands just in case this double week occurs.
