I have just recently started playing this game and I seem be be doing quite well, but I want to do REALLY well.

Can anyone recommend any books, articles, forums, threads etc..... where I can read up on this game

Or even just any of your own advice would be great

also anything to do with odds

i.e. If I am dealt three connecting cards like 7,8,9 what is the the odds of that becomming a straight? and again if I am dealt 3 suited cards what are the odds of that turning into a flush?

All comments & suggestions welcome  Grin

I had a look for seven card stud books before christmas on Amazon and the only one they had was initially published in 1979, surprised how little material there is.

I'd reccommend David Reese's section on 7 card stud in super system 1, It's the only literature on 7 card stud I've ever read, albeit sometime after i'd already become quite good i still found it to be quite insightful.

Also if i remember correctly super system covers the mathematics for all of the games it includes.

I think Booders the 7 card stud man on here, he may be able to suggest something better.

I got this book for Christmas.  It is good, but I have still to re-read it.  You have given me the feeling to do that now, I keep meaning to try and play 7 Stud

7-card Stud: The Complete Course in Winning at Medium and Lower Limits (Paperback) by Roy West....
Roy really understands low limit stud, fantastic value. The rule of two will pay for this book on its own.

Most good stud players are very negative about Roys book.
Most agree that chip reese's SS1 section is perhaps the best written on the game.

Seven card stud for advanced players is a decent book though.
