With 2,800, buddy love (Olabode Ayegun) sticks it in with Q-Js, but lost to A-Q.

Meanwhile... Neighbours John Gale (24k) and Paul Jackson get pushed off their respective button raise and s.b. call by a 3k re-raise from the big blind...that's how to get rid of the top guys.  Everyone will be doing it soon...

And another table has been broken; we're down to 120.  My guess for finishing number is: 75.  Apart from, "Who's the chip leader?" the question I get asked most often on a Day One is, "How many d'you think we'll get down to tonight."  I honestly have no idea why this should be, but I always pretend to think for a while before stabbing in the dark.

He was on the initial list as being in, but he wasn't.  So I'm in no position to comment on his banter.

HERBIE GOES BANANAS!

Funny one for you here...

Flop =

Ian Herbert bets, Sandu moves all-in for an extra 500 to which Ian responds, "Crap, I didn't realise he was so short, I can'f fold."

"Just a draw ( two hearts)," says a desperate Sandu, oblivious to the fact that he is ahead, as proven when Ian reveals his Two Diamonds.

Turn =

River =

Ian takes it, you gotta laugh.

Elsewhere, serial caller Matt Dale has pulled his socks up and regained some chips (11k) while RED-DOG gets a narrow escape:

He'd raised in mid position with , receiving two callers.  The flop brought a bet out from the blinds caller of 2,500.  Awkward, considering Red's stack only totalled around 9,000... so he decided to push, but found against him... luckily he was saved by the running 2-5 for the split-creating straight, and admits that he's been given a reprieve from the cards.  Currently trying to forget about the problems that hand caused him ("Should I have pushed?  Could I ever fold? etc.) and building up a more playable stack before the larger antes kick in.

His opponent just plays it well in my opinion.

Chip second or third Nik Persaud has been moved to Ryan Fronda's immediate left.  He's therefore the big blind RED will be attempting to steal... he's still having to explain that he's a luckbox for that early House vs. House double through, but I notice at least a few more chips have been added since then.  He said his Aces (card rack, too) nearly took a chunk off him, when someone with T-7 saw a T-7-2 flop with him...

And Dave Colclough, still pondering that (much) earlier pass of two pair re-raises an under-the-gun raiser to steal another thousand, all the time surmising that far from a dominating hand or even a nut draw, the guy he gave so much respect at the beginning was purely on the steal himself.  No one tortures players about their play like themselves.

The players are currently on a short break. Meanwhile, I got the chance to have a chat with Greg 'crosscoutbh' Howard, who is running well but not too keen on his table, where he is sandwhiched between Paul Jackson, Lucy Rokach and John Gale.

Golly gosh!

Hi there - Flushy is intoxicated and playing tomorrow.
Ron Debeaulox is still in, going to see how his stack's looking.
