Hope someone can give me some advice on where to stay in Atlantic City. I am right clued up on Vegas but have just got a free flight to New York (coz of major issues on a previous business trip) so have decided to hire a card and drive down to AC.

I only play poker. In Vegas I can get a poker rate at Ceasers, MGM and Veneitan - does anyone know if/what poker rates are available at what casino's in Atlantic City.

Also ant thoughts on casinos/poker/anything would be appreciated.

Thanks

Not actually been but a couple of things came out when I did a bit of research for a potential trip myself.

1. Casinos are the only thing there, there basically nothing else to do. At least in Vegas they cater for other stuff.
2. Its fairly seedy and quite dodgy if you stray too far from the casinos, at least in Vegas you know your safe on the strip.
3. I was with a load of low/mid level American pros recently, and they all raved about the Borgata Hotel and casino. They unanimously agreed it was their favourite place to play poker in the US, great games, nice poker room. The hotel is also very nice but fairly price.

Hope thats a start for you. I don't think many brits make it to AC you may be better off posting on a US forum, 2+2 or FCP?

Thanks woodsey - The Borgata did look great and def came out top in the reviews on trip advisor. Naturally Trip advisor didnt say much about a poker rate . lol

I will try 2+2

Give Atlantic City a miss.  Apart from the Borgata consider Foxwoods.
