While talking to Praz, a hand developed on his table. Henry Rondon, who, according to Praz, hadn't played a hand all day up until this point, decided that now was the time, all in with A-9 vs the A-7 of Bill Ferrand...
The board 5-6-8.....Q-9 and a clearly disappointed 354th place finisher exited the room muttering, "Suckout" under his breath, while the biologist-amateur couldn't help one of those "Yess"s as the river straightened his raggy Ace.

Rams double up to 150k was courtesy of a Kings v Queens confrontation. We believe it was all-in pre-flop, but either way, the Flop brought both players sets.
Jennifer Harman -- 46,000
Mickey Appleman -- 61,000
Phil Ivey -- 91,000
Jan Sjavik -- 123,500
Bill Gazes -- 22,500
Kathy Liebert -- 63,000
Padraig Parkinson is down to the felt after running bottom 2 pair in a higher two pair. Currently sharing a table with Jennifer Harman who had 46,000.

Andy Black doubles up to 70k in a very odd hand:
Starting the day comparatively short with 22k, Mr. Black had about 34k when this happened: Jani Sointula limps under the gun, Andy limps, four more players limp for the 1,200 and small blind Phil Hellmuth makes it up. Eric Hershler in the big blind then throws in 20,000. Fair enough. Jani's not interested, but the Black stack is over the line faster than you can say, "All in." It passes round, and with only another 12k to go he gets a think for far far longer than anyone would have thought necessary seeing as the big blind's hand was
...
Andy Black shows
Flop:
Turn:
("Red!" urges Andy even though some red cards are Aces/Kings - but the multitude of limpers suggest a couple might have gone)
River:
Andy semi-rubs-down his slow caller: "You were thinking just to get me excited. I'm thinking I made a great play and then all of a sudden I haven't...") But it worked out fine for the short stack Irish chip-twiddler with the repetitious shirt collection. He's now definitely a nuisance to the bigger stacks on his, admittedly tricky, table.

Praz Bansi is on 145k and has been pretty quiet of late. Gold hasn't though, recently doubling up Timothy McCarthy by moving in over the top on the Turn with a flush and straight draw. McCarthy called with Pocket Cowboys which held up come the harmless River.

Tip off from Mr. Wahlroos, Tim Phan and Kevin O'Connell going to war...
Preflop Kevin raised to 7k, Tim made it 17k, Kevin repopped it to 34k at which point he was just called. Big pot already, when I got there and saw Kevin going all in on the
flop. Think, and eventual call for what must have been 100k+.
Kevin O'Connell's hand:
in almost ideal shape against Tim Phan's
.
Turn and river the completely-irrelevant-since-not-a-Queen
and a big double up for the Dusk Till Dawn player, while Tim's back on 50k, what seemed like a lot of chips two days ago, but probably looks disappointing to him now (see photos).

Allen Cunningham is OUT. A-T vs. A-6 on a K-K-Q-4-T board, Jared Hamby with the A-T.
"I guess he thought he was splitting," said Hamby afterwards.
-------------
Jamie Gold has doubled up off Praz Bansi, Praz calling a pre-flop raise with A-Q, betting the Flop and Turn on the Queen high board before calling an all-in on the Ten River.
Jamie showed Tens for the Rivered set, Praz was gutted.
"I had to call the all-in on the River, there were too many draws out there."

Dave 'Devilfish' Uliott is OUT.
Pocket Tens v Pocket Jacks means that he is no longer "rocking and rolling....... bebe."
Also notable in his absence is the legendary Doyle Brunson, who joins his son Todd on the rails after failing to make any real impact in this year's event.
Finally, a constantly shortstacked Erick Lindgren is now officially a gonna.

Dusk Till Dawn's Kevin O'Connell is one of the WPT Final's chip leaders with 371,000 after finding Aces and being paid off in full by Queens.
--------------
Johnny Chan is OUT.
Sevens v Q-T of clubs on a Flop of T-6-8 (one club), Mateyboy checked, Chan bet 5k and MB called. Turn brought the 4 of clubs, Mateyboy bet 15k, Chan pushed for 40k and MB called. No help on the River meant that the Tens held up.

just got home, how is Mr Cool doing today?
Very well, in fact. After a disappointing drop to what sounded like 'Ninety thousand' after losing a QQ vs. AK race early on as well as another hand, he's done nothing but climb to a comfortable (to say the least) 250k or so. "I don't know exactly how much..." anyway, his garish blue shirt is a lovechild of the Mansion logo and the Tottenham Hotspur away shirt. Apparently he's been hanging out with the owner of Spurs and is quite proud of this creation. Well, he stands out from the rest of the cash room crowd, I'll tell you that.

Scotty Nguyen is OUT - a short stack, he got to the flop:
and checked when his preflop caller checked to him.
Turn:
It was checked again, Scotty pushed in for what looked like less than 15k, and received a reluctant call.
Matey:
Scotty: Couldn't see, but it was one of
,
,
etc. - paints, at least a pair (bigger than Eights, necessarily), no diamond.
River:
Oh how cruel. Baby. A gracious Scotty exits the tournament area.

Meanwhile, Barney Boatman is pretty chirpy, with his 200k... apparently the big boost to his chips came via this odd hand: He'd limped, so had one other guy, and the button raised. He called with
.
Flop: T-8-4 He check-called.
Turn: 5 Double check.
River: Q And now his opponent bet 40,000 - which he called with his pair of Eights, at which he recieved one of those oh-so-gratifying instant mucks and a nice chunk of chips.
_________________________________
Very Short Stack William Thorson triples up:
He moved in for 16,400 preflop, and found a caller in Barny Boatman, who then had to wait while the player (in the top picture) in the big blind dwelled before re-raising a further 22,000. This wasn't all that much, actually, and that got Barny worried. After torturing himself for the minimum time, he passed (A-K) and the big blind's
got to play against Thorson's all-in
.
Flop:
(a bit of a frustrated table-slap from Barny)
Turn:
River:
And somehow Thorson survived that whole thing to be back in it with nearly 50k.

Looks like we have a new chip leader in online superstar Sorel Mizzi who has made his way up to around 450k, most recently locking horns with Scott Fischman in what is perhaps one of the biggest pots of the tournament so far.
With the board reading
, I joined the action with Sorel making a bet of 32k.
Fischman called, albeit hesitantly, only for Sorel to ask that sometimes overused question, "How much do you have left?" come the
River.
"About 105k," answered the double bracelet winner, to which Sorel replied, "Okay, I'm all-in."
After a brief sigh, Fischman then asked the same question, albeit with slightly less confidence than his younger opponent.
Acting rather nervously (acting, perhaps?), Sorel didn't really answer Fischman, at first merely implying that he had him covered.
"I know you have me covered," continued Fischman, "but I want to know how many you have."
Still not answering fully, Sorel pushed out a pile of blues and said, "Well, that's 100k there."
Fidgeting somewhat, Sorel continued to look uncomfortable, but Fischman didn't seem to be paying too much attention to any potential tells or reverse tells, seemingly more focused on trying to work out the pattern of the hands and the series of events that had preceded the final all-in.
After a while, he either decided that he was definitely behind, or simply didn't fancy sticking in his remaining 100+k without being sure, and so opted for a fold, exhaling, "Okay, it's yours" in the progress.
A quick flick of the cards across the line (only just though), and we had what I believe to be our latest chip leader, but I was left wondering desperately what the prodigal Mizzi held.
