Kev, I will give you a copy of the book "The Easy Way to Stop Smoking" by Allen Carr.

That's my little contribution to your effort.

Good luck mate. After a few days, once you see the fruits of your self-discipline, you'll be on your way, & the impetus will do the rest.

Tikay, this book have you tried it and did it work?

Yes & yes.

Anyone who reads this book & fails to quit smoking is just not trying. Like everything worthwhile in life, it does take a little effort & self-control, but succeeding only serves to enhance the satifaction one derives from winning a battle betweeen common-sense & addiction.

Those of us that succeed may weaken from time to time & lapse, but not for long.

Follow the Tikay.........for he hath risen!

Good luck with your quest Kev, it's hard work.....having lost two stone I know it's worth it! I would suggest having a graph/chart for the weight loss side of things, it focuses your mind and gives you a good visual of the progress you are making.....put it on your fridge door!    Working for me, though I still have another stone to go! One other tip....don't have 'bad for you shite' in the house.

today I decided to walk to tesco (a round trip of around3/4 of a mile) and just buy the food for today, I have decided not to keep any food in the house, and just do this walk every day to buy that days provisions.

No temptations and plenty of fruit to snack on.... and plenty of water to drink.

The mission is underway.

bananas - the way to go Smiley

good for you and an energy food, just dont go overboard though straight away - not sure your body could cope to much of a change too soon Wink

And they are great when deep fried or when smothered in sugar, extra thick double cream and melted chocolate buttons!!
