Jay has always been considered a much more complete player than Danny Guthrie who went to Newcastle via Bolton and has done well.

You should have a decent signing there.

Spearing is a terrier. Bit of a pint-sized Gerrard. Will do a very good job for you, and excellent loan-signing. Not sure how permanent he'd be though. I think he's got a future at top level, but I also thought the same about John Welsh, and he's been loaned here there and everywhere before arriving at Tranmere. I don't think he was quick enough for the top level, but Spearing's a different animal - the question about him is if he's big enough I guess.

Be interesting to hear what Dwayne has to say.

I like him. Quick, good shot, ok dribble, total workhorse and a bit of a football brain. Will end up in the prem imo.

I would say that I dont think he'll make it at Liverpool, he's 22 later this year and has 3 1st team games to his name. Jack Hobbs has nearly 100 and is only 3 months older, he's certainly benefitted from goin a step backwards to possible take 2 forward.

You'll take to him Tighty, he's very likeable, a real trier, leaves nothing out there on the pitch.
