Agreed?
About the best Liverpool could hope for, although think he'll take the easy life as a pundit, and who could blame, him.

Not been a blow in since the Norwegians first time, that should make it easy!

Actually very surprised. He's been excellent in the last handful of games. Very much like Scholes he can do it when not playing every week.
His knowledge of other teams and players is incredible. If not a manager he'll be a good coach/scout.

Like Carragher, great player just not world class but then again very reliable.
Do I raise you highlights from the CL final?
Semi final would be funnier.

Why GG Liverpool? They were one of the clubs leading the push for the controls (along with Man U, Spurs and Arsenal).

i think just because they were one of the 3 clubs to fall foul of the rules had they been in place at present. Its not like they are competing with the top clubs at present anyway.

I think he's referencing the "three clubs have lost >£105MM in the last three years"...
I'd be surprised if you fail the test when it is actually in effect.
The wages bill 'cap' might have some interesting outcomes though. Caught an interview with a Professor type on the Today Programme suggesting that whilst mega salaries would still be offered to attract the superstars, it would probably mean lower wages for the newer, less glamorous players. The workhorse midfielders was pretty much his description...
The other interesting bit about the cap is that it seems to appliy only to the TV rights money so that clubs can pay more from money they generate through tickets and merchandise etc...
Good news for clubs with the bigger stadiums if they can fill them...

"Why GG Liverpool?"
Because they do things like spend £55 million on 3 below average premier league midfielders?

Who?
With regards to the debt, that was the paying off the H&G debt - not a reflection on how the club's being run now.

Think Carra will def go the coach route as opposed to TV/media, think he'll surprise a lot of people too.

To be fair, he needs subtitles when he's on TV
Always thought that him and Danny Murphy would both go on to be good coaches one day.

Henderson £20m, Dowling £20m, Allen £15m
Downing is the best one. £20m for a non creative, non-goalscoring slow wide midfielder.

Disagree.
Henderson is playing well and will prove to be a very decent player. Allen was one of the best players in the Liverpool side early in the season, and his slump in form is probably due to tiredness (discussed earlier in this thread). Doesn't make him a 'below-average premier league midfielder'.
Downing is the worst purchase out of the three, as he's older and therefore the potential to improve is far less. He's been playing OK recently, but not worth his price tag.
So disagree that Liverpool spent £55M on 3 below average premier league midfielders.
