Wtf?

After how we played there we go with one less in the middle and play with Aspas?!

Never understand why you wouldn't start with your best 11.

Stevie fit enough to be considered, then start him, if he plays 30mins at the start or from 60mins, surely best to start where he can influence from the beginning- and in theory kill the game.

Rather than having to work harder to gain the game back (assuming he'd come on to change the game)

Aspas left , Coutinho just in front of a deeper Hendo and Lucas ?

Agger with the goal in the first half.  Liverpool took a while to get going, and have had to survive assaults from Hull players (mauled by Tigers?), but are getting on top now.  Henderson and Coutinho should have both scored after two good moves saw them both put their gilt-edged chances wide.

Need to keep the momentum going in the second half.

so what do we expect after the run of the next 5 games…

Spurs (a)  hope 3, expect 1, need 3
Cardiff (h) hope 3, expect 3, need 3
City (a) hope 1, expect 0 need 1
Chelsea (a) hope 3, expect 1, need 1
Hull (h) hope 3, expect 3 need 3

Hope 13/15  Expect 8/15, need 11/15

I think if we are 3-4points from 4th, we've done great going into the New year having played Arsenal, City, Chelsea, Everton, Spurs, Newcastle, Villa all away from home.

Spurs (a)  hope 3, expect 1, need 3 ACTUAL 3
Cardiff (h) hope 3, expect 3, need 3  ACTUAL 3
City (a) hope 1, expect 0 need 1  ACTUAL 0
Chelsea (a) hope 3, expect 1, need 1  ACTUAL 0
Hull (h) hope 3, expect 3 need 3 ACTUAL 3

HOPED 14
EXPECTED 8
NEEDED 11
ACTUAL 9

                    PLD   GD   PTS
1   Arsenal   20   21   45
2   Man City   20   34   44
3   Chelsea   20   19   43
4   Liverpool   20   23   39
5   Everton   20   13   38
6   Man Utd   19   10   34

Think he means "expect if we're being optimistic" for the "hope" results.

Exactly.

I always "expect" 3 points rather than hope too!  But kinboshi has said it correctly, tried to be realistic to our true hopes and expectations.

Seems a few of the players thought the game was won at 2 nil.  Lets see a bit more passion Redmen.

Biggest game of our season so far this. I'd say we've been a bit lucky but were due one.
