when i first signed up on blonde in 2009 i made a post about steven gerrard doing an interview with NOTW. i was angry that he would talk to them due to their connection with "the sun" whos scandalous and untrue reporting of hillsborough was a disgrace.
i got trolled quite a lot. cest la vie.
reading back over that thread ,5 long years later makes me laugh, i definetely overreacted to a certain extent. one quote sums it up for me.
from "the tank" "a long time ago we were at war with germany but i still like a bratwurst" . fucking classic.
whatever happened to him? hope he is ok he was a brilliant poster.
my dad used to take me on the kop as a young lad. i remember smashing panathaniakos 4 0 , jim beglin getting the 4th. think it was the semi before heysel. another one that stands out was against united, 3 1 up ten minutes left and gordon strachan got 2 in front of kop.i remember asking dad why the kop was a sea of paper aeroplanes. so glad that nonsense has stopped.
anyway this is a great forum and long may it continue.
for liverpool fans everywhere this really is a special time. not quite old enough to remember toshack keegan etc but i grew up on dalglish+rush , barnes+ beardsley, now we have suarez sturridge sterling and MARTIN F****ING SKERTLE.
we are playing amazing football. at the start of the season i would have been over the moon to get top four. let alone feel genuinely privileged to watch us play the way we have been. long may it continue.
if we do end up 2nd or 3rd i will still be proud. the season has been a success whatever happens now

i would like to see Liverpool win a title more for Gerrard's loyalty to the club over his whole career when he must have been tempted away on several occasions for increased success and/or financial rewards. Fair play Stevie lad as they say in scouse land.
