75 mins in an outdated formation with no substitutions @ 3-0 down.

Nowhere near good enough.  I think Skrtel is a weak link at the back, and the sooner we can get Agger back in the centre and a left-back at left-back the better.

If only we'd had £30M+ available when Tevez was up for sale.  He's an amazing player.

Outclassed, but lets put some of that down to formation

No proper width or pace either, I reckon away from home you'd play one up/Gerrard behind and hit on the break, as it was without Mascherano you were outmuscled too

Didn't look as fit as Man C either

Finally, that bench. Still isn't strong enough. Sure Cole is missing from the 16 but even so

I still cant fathom letting Aquilani go. We've basically shot the 4-5-1 dead.

Tonight we'd had had more possession and Gerrard off Torres and a better passer of the ball linking to the front two.

Juve can buy wobbly eyes for £13mil at the end of the season. How much would they have had to pay for the loan for you to think it was a good deal?

Liverpool have confirmed that striker Krisztian Nemeth has joined Greek outfit Olympiacos.

The Hungary international was signed from MTK Hungaria in 2007 but despite several pre-season first team appearances, he never made his bow at a competitive level.

Nemeth will now team up with former Reds winger Albert Riera at Olympiacos.

Think there are better youngsters than Nemeth at Liverpool who will get their chance sooner rather than later.  Amoo is one who looks to have a bright future imo.

Only saw 2nd half, and Liverpool's tactics were shocking, basically stood off five yards and let City play at will.
I don't think City played that well either, they didn't need to

Typically a season long loan can cost £2 mil a pop. I would guess this is at least that for the season - possibly £2.5-3m.

If he's not Roy's man then he's not Roy's man but sell him and take the money now FFS. Weak benches again all season ftw obv, thanks Woy. He came out not two days ago and said I don't know my squad well enough yet so you sell your second most creative midfielder. What do we do now if Mascherano goes? Buy someone with a day to go? Ridiculous.

My faith in Hodgson is being shaken daily.

Diarra from Real would be a great replacement for Mascherano imo.
I think the case may be that Juve wouldn't pay that now but if he proves he can be fit all year they will pay it.

I agree it will be a key few days.

Wrong Diarra IMO. No way Jose is letting Lassana go unfortunately.

Wow we've let him go for £16m + £6m in add ons. Ridic. I know they have financial worries but they bid 40m Euro for Fabregas not a month ago. I would want at least £25m. We should have done what we did with Alonso and said meet our price or do one. An awful bit of business for Liverpool.
