Hi, I'll be in Vegas on Saturday and was thinking of playing the $1500 NLHE event. I'll be flying in from NY and cutting it fine for time. I have never played a WSOP event before. If the event starts at 12pm how much time do u need to register? Do these events fill up or can u turn up at 11:55pm, sign some forms, pay ur cash and enter the tournament?
Thanks for any advice

my last statement intrigues me

why does phil hellmuth pay then blind out for an hour before sitting in surely he would be better off registering when he arrives

I believe all the $1500 events have had over 2000 entrants and all of them have had a list of alternates. So if you turn up at 11.55a.m, you might find yourself on a list of alternates and not seated until near the end of the first level. If you've got a mate who can buy you in (not sure if this is possible anyway) then i'd try that.

Last Saturday's event was sold out with 240 alternates.

Take your 1500, put it on black a few times and enter the main event Grin

Not possible for a friend to sign you up I don't think as you need to show your player's reward card when you sign up, and your ID if it's your 1st event
