There are a couple of (potential) bargains already this season IMO.
Viduka on a free - even for a season or two you know you will get goals if not always performances.
Aliadiere for 1.5m seems like good business to me. I've seen a lot more paid for much worse strikers in the past. Even if he scores 8 or 9 goals it's a good buy.
Distin on a free - you wont find many better centre halves in the EPL.
Anyone Wenger signs who is under 22 and never been heard of is likely to be shit hot as well unless he's a keeper.
thought he was after craig gordon if so he will have one of the top 4 goalies in the premiership

There's talk of Liverpool going after Nakamura for about £4M. Not seen much of him to be honest other than the European games and the odd highlight. He can deliver a mean free-kick from the look of things.
Didn't he play on the right for Celtic most of the time, although he's left-footed? Like I said, not seen him play much so that might be wrong.
Celtic fans - is he worth buying? £4M doesn't sound too steep, and Liverpool need to strengthen the left side.

You haven't a hope of him for that. There's a bit of press about him after an Italian lawyer who's worked for him stirred it about release clauses - his agent and Celtic have confirmed he's going nowhere - find a player to score against ManU from somewhere else.

Fair play to Russell Anderson, he was due 250 grand from the Sunderland move & left the lot with Aberdeen to put towards their youth development programme. Thats a fantastic gesture from a guy who was probably on about 5 grand a week tops, that alone puts most of the EPL prima donnas to shame.
Alaidiere was a huge dissapointment in his short time at Celtic both heartless & lazy.
On Naka, I'd take 6mill for him in a hearbeat, the guy will be burntout next season, he hasn't had a break for 2 years straight & is playing in the Asian Cup again this summer.

So you don't think he's worth buying? Like I said, I haven't really seen him play that much but I've heard good things about him - and there was that free-kick against man u

Geremi on a free to Newcastle is the transfer of the year.
I would love him at Spurs.

Honestly i don't think he's suited to the EPL, his set pieces are exceptional though, the goal v Man Utd is as good as you'll ever see

I dont think the player wants to leave or Celtic want to sell him right now.

For me , Naka is very frustrating , he can do nothing for 2 games , then score a Hat Trick or a 35 yard freekick in the next.
Not consistent enough for me , I dont think he would be a good buy for Liverpool , even at 4m , although I think Celtic rate him about 5m .
No from me , although on his day he is capable of playing World Class football , so im generally happy to watch him playing for Celtic

That pretty much sums it up doesn't it? Can't live with him, can't live without him. Frustratingly brilliant.

That is the main factor in Celtic signing him. They pay 3m for an International Japanese dead ball expert.
They rake in multiple millions in TV rights , shirt sales and commercial contracts.
Thats the way it is these days , fortunately it is a good deal for all parties.
Celtic get a decent player and a good return , Naka gets a nice wage and fame and adulation , the Japanese fans get a
superstar , everybodies happy.
