Nah its not him,saw him in a bookies once, tosser!
They are teasing you pokefast. His name is Matt Russell. Great guy, shocking poker player though, out of his class.
Oi!! I wasn't teasing!!
I really did use to play a lot of pool and I was very good.
If you've not played in Nottingham though Pokey it'll be someone else you're thinking of.

Hi Ding,
I spoke to 'Ling about this, & she said she may be able to, & very much wanted to, help, too.
So, even though it may look like a level, it really is Ding-a-Ling time.

Today, just now in fact, I was rejected.
A 12 part TV Series, right good gig, too, but I got rejected by the Producer.
"You are too short".
I used to be taller, but that does not count apparently.
That's just so hurtful.
If they give that gig to Silo Graham, I shall throw a tantrum.

So, a full weekend off, & I went & played at DTD for the £300, & had a right good time.
I usually work every weekend, so a free weekend off was a real treat.
It's also a weekend with no (guaranteed) wages......
It was a bit of a reality check when I did the sums.
Usual income cancelled, so that, in a way, is almost a loss before I start.
Now the assumed outgoings.
The £300, pluys Reg fee.
The £150, plus Reg Fee.
Call those two a round £500.
Some wedge for the Cash Tables, & lets be cautious & consesrvative - £500.
So that's a grand accounted for.
Drinks, travel up from London & back, + a small stake in another player, call that another £100.
So we were £1,100 in the hole before we started. Yikes.
As it happened, I got £600 back from the £300, & never played the £150, or any Cash, so all in all, a little profit ensued, maybe £150 or so, & I'm very happy with that.
But it did make me think, act as a reality check.
Now, I'm off this weekend, too. Probably my last weekend off for a few weeks........
What to do? There is a 15,000 chip, 1 hour clock, £500 + £50 jobbie at Brighton this Saturday & Sunday.
Hmm, lets do the sums.
Income from work - nil. Again. (Though to be fair, it just moved to midweek, so I still got paid),
Cost for Brighton.
£500 + 50 for the Tourney.
£50 for Diesel.
£150 for a Hotel for 2 nights.
So, £750 ish.
Tell you what, you need to be the right side of the variance curve to play every weekend!
My last 2 Live Tourneys have cost a total of £800 to enter, & yielded £2,600, so it's ok at the mo.
But it don't half make me think.
Whatever, with work for the next few weekends, at the very mininum, & a possibility that Saturday &/or Sunday work will permanently return soon, bugger it - the plan is to go to Brighton this weekend.
I refuse to dither.

I'm dithering now, maybe £750 is too much to indulge one's self.
I'm a failed hedonist.

Jern is going to China - bloody China! That's, like, real China, near Hong Kong, that China.
Taking Dana & snoops, too, off to visit Jen's brother.
We used to go to the Isle of Wight for our jollies, if we were lucky.
China!
