Your diary is a delight Teeks, lovely to read your love for the game and enthusiasm, hope you're learning that, esp in PLO8, you're good enough to ship one of these. Think of the 40 players left in when u departed, u telling me they're all a class above u? Maybe one or two, but it's likely one of them won't win, a buy running well on his day will, and that could be u.

I actually stopped reading your diary when I saw your reply to me and it started off about a LeBron James three pointer. I hadn't watched game 7 til yesterday, fell asleep when it was Thursday, played GUKPT all weekend and been busy since, so didn't want u to spoil it.

In true Tikay misclick style tho, I watched the whole game and while he hit a few threes, none of them crucial. I then read your diary and u were talking about game 6...when LeBron missed two threes and Ray Allen scored a last second three to take it to overtime! Ray Allen has hit more threes in the NBA than anyone in history, he's easy to miss.

Completely agree about LBJ tho, he comes running at u like a tank. He's all power and no comparison to Michael Jordan, who was all grace. Was a great series, I called it perfectly on that site I write betting advice for, 4-3 Heat, not sure it was valuuuuuuuue tho.

Loving the sweat and the diary, keep up the good work, a joy to read

Investors Update.

Good morning.

For those who have a stake in my full schedule (excluding the Main, & those who were only in for the $3,000 WSOP PLO8) there have been a few changes, as below. The WSOP was EXTRA to the schedule, & I am also adding an Event today which was not on the original schedule.

Mere will, I'm sure, keep abreast of whats what on the Team Spready.

June 14th. 4pm, VENETIAN, PLO8, $600 - NIL return

June 15th, 2pm, BINIONS, PLO8, $200. NIL Return

June 16th, Noon, GOLDEN NUGGET, PLO8, $230 NIL Return

June 17th, Noon, RIO, WSOP PLO8, $1,500 NIL Return

June 18th, Noon (?), Caesars Palace, PLO8, $240 NIL Return

June 19th, Noon, GOLDEN NUGGET, PLO, $230 NIL Return

June 20th, 2pm, BINIONS, PLO, $300 Returned $1,710

June 21st, Noon (?), CAESARS PALACE, 6 Max PLO, $240 NIL Return

June 23rd, 2pm, BINIONS, PLO8, $200 Returned $1,565

June 24th, 4pm, VENETIAN, Big O, 5 card PLO8, $1,100 - DID NOT PLAY.

Instead, played $240 PLO8/PLO ROE @ Golden Nugget, Returned $2,135

June 25th, 5pm, WSOP $3,000 PLO8 @ Rio, Returned $5,617

June 26th, Noon, CAESARS PALACE, PLO8, $240 - DID NOT PLAY

June 27th (TODAY), Noon, Golden Nugget, PLO8, $125. THIS IS ADDITIONAL TO THE ORIGINAL SCHEDULE

June 28th, 4pm, Venetian, PLO8, $1,100

June 29th, 2pm, BINIONS, PLO8, $200

July 3rd, Noon, CAESARS PALACE, PLO8, $240

So, I think we have so far spent about $6,980, & we have got $11,027 back. So even if we blank everything from now on, we have locked up a profit again. Could not be more pleased!

There MAY be some other small additions to the schedule, but I'll advise in advance.

Would have played the Nugget with you today, but my head's a little frazzled still from the 8-game yesterday. Was delighted to finish mid-table, as I know I played some hands pretty poorly. My propensity for bluffing in 2-7 triple draw was not helpful. Made a few chips in Razz and NLHE primarily, but had a couple of good players on the table and that made things difficult.

If I feel tired after a few hours of 8 game, goodness knows how you're feeling today. VBOL as ever.

I saw that Golden Nugget tournament, but it just seems a bit small.  Double it and I'd be there.  Probably going to play the Aria $340 Hold Em.  I have played there a couple of times before and enjoyed it.  Maybe if I bust there, Rio deepstack and a trip to see how Moorman and Rob Price are doing.

Yes, not sure why it is only a $125 today, but I'd rather play that than NLH.

There is a $200 HORSE @ Binions, & I was thinking about playing that - still may, in fact - think it would be rather fun, but I'm totally shite at Limit betting, & I fear I'd make a fool of myself. A bit irresponsible to use stakers money for a Format in which I have no experience or expertise, too.  I was sorely tempted though, Stud, Stud O8, Stud, Omaha O8, what tremendous fun they's be! I'd just sit out the Hold Em rounds.

Good luck at Aria today.

Have you made a decision on that $1,500 WSOP Event yet? I know you are sorely tempted.....

I was shattered last night, but I'm fresh as a daisy this morning. Gotta live the dream, play these things whilst I am able, we never know what the future holds!

This may be my last ever Vegas trip, I'm not getting any younger & poker & work retirement pastures must beckon sooner rather than later.

rofl, this is true.

I always think it though, but it never quite happens. It will one day though. Do you realise how old I am? It says 43 on my blonde profile, but thst is slightly out of date. Just between you & me, like.

I think it is best to assume it is my last one though, & that way, ensure I enjoy every moment. And I am. Oh yes.

I genuinely never thought I'd surive (in work & poker) this last 12 months, there have been some very dark times recently, so it is all bonus.

Neil did try and persuade me but I decided against it.  The Aria has a decent prize pool and so does the Rio deepstack.  Sure those games are going to be more relaxing.  Would be good to leave the WSOP knowing I was at the top of my game and not with a repeat of the 3k no limit, where I really wasn't.

The flight is on Saturday and I just didn't want to change it either.

Interesting piece by Nick Wealthall here.....

I would not describe it as a "revelation" exactly, it seems blatantly obvious to most of us, but not everyone gets it.

Yeah, NEVER listen to Channing's urgings. He implored me not to play that $3,000 WSOP PLO8, "you'll be the value", but I was having none of it. Mans a tosser.

Don't fret about limit games and making a fool of yourself. If you bet too much it won't count and everyone makes occasional mistake on bet size.

HORSE be more fun for you I think than another PLO8 Smiley

Stop it, Simon, I'm starting to dither again now.

Life is just one long dither for me.

There is another problem with games like Stud & RAZZ though - unless I get seat 4 or 5, I cannot easily see other players up cards, as my eyes have become very bad of late. In seat 2 or 7, I genuinely would have to get up & walk to the other end of the table to see them. Which, 6 hours in, may become a tad tiresome for the other players.

Limit is just raise pre and bet every flop isn't it?  I could be persuaded to play HORSE
